Is their Yorkie Breeders in Pittsburgh Pa? I was wondering if their are any yorkie breeders in Pittsburgh or any other place close? |
I would suggest checking YTCA.org for good breeders in your area! There is a lot of good info in the Yorkies for sale section at the top. I would read the stickies on what to look for and stay away from in a breeder! Good luck! |
Thx I will try doing that! |
Make sure you check the links about finding a great breeder. There are lots of puppy mills in PA. Good luck. |
Thank you guys you are so helpful! If you get a puppy from a puppy mill are they sick? whats wrong with them? jw |

Puppy mills aren't necessarily large. There are a lot of smaller operations out there that have conditions just as bad. There are also a lot of Amish puppy mills up in your area. Bottom line is that the dogs are over bred, under cared for and absolutely NOT bred to improve the breed. The only thing that matters is fast turn around and cash flow. You could get lucky and end up with a healthy dog from one. But it absolutely won't be the best pet you can have. Something that gets said around here a lot is "buy your breeder before you buy your dog." Take your time and do your research. |
That is so sad!! I wanted to cry! It makes me just want to take the puppy home and care for it! If i had the money i would take all of them home and take good care of them and see if i can bring them back to good heath but that would cost a whole lot of money that i dont have.:( I feel so bad for them! By signing this puppy mill bill thread what does it mean if i sign it? By signing it does it mean im against and to help stop puppy mills? |

It's a natural reaction to want to "save" the dogs from those places. But by buying them, people are rewarding these greeders and encouraging them to keep doing things exactly the same. Not only are they getting a financial reward, but space is being opened up for them to do it again. |
aww... true! I wasnt thinking about that! you are right! |
