Hi everyone,

Wow, you have all been such wonderful friends... I am doing pretty good today.. I only cried once.. Now when I talk about Mocha, I can laugh at the funny things she would do!! Justin already called Ivan (at Quality Canines) and told him wht happened... He was devestated but told us not to blame ourselves! Anyway, everyone is telling me Mocha had a death wish (she had some many "come close to deaths") people were amazed she lived as long as she did.. I know everyone around me (including myself) wants me to get a new dog soon but i think a Yorkie isn't the dog for me.. I am away teaching during the day.. I might need a dog who is more independant.. Anyway, whether or not I get another yorkie, I will still remain a proud YT member to listen to the stories of Lexi, Stewie, Sully, Bo, Sammi, etc!!

Brooke, I'm sooooo sorry to hear what happened. I always enjoyed hearing stories about Mocha. Our hearts go out to you and your family. I know this is an extremely hard time for you. Your little Mocha will be in your heart forever and she will always be remembered. I'm sure she's in Yorkie Heaven right now looking over you.

I am glad you are doing better...I know this is hard. I think whatever decesion you make will be the right one for you. You know your lifestyle much better than any of us. But anways just welcoming you back with a big hug from me and a big puppy kiss from Baby.

I did too. I had a new small baby we named him Vaschon. He was the velcroest dog you could ever see. The vet had put him on Phenobarb to try to calm him. I went to work leaving him in a baby net playpen. He climbed up a little and chewed thru the net and fell halfway thru. His collar caught and well, he strangled to death. My son, a middle schooler cam home and found him like that. My son is now45 and still remembers that incident.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss and your suffering. Broken hearts are so hard to fix, but with time, it does happen.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss 18 years ago.. I think that sight must have been horrific for such a young boy to see.. I would never in a million years wish anyone seeing their dog like that.. I have lost 2 pets previously but it was easier because 1. they were older (12 and 14) and 2. I wasn't there to see them die (Jellybean died at the hospital and my parents had to put Sarah down but i was working.. I still haven't gotten over Jellybeans death but at least I didn't have to see it.. Walking into the kitchen and seeeing mocha hanging but just so awful

I am soo sorry.
This happened to me too. My mom and I got my first yorkie ever and he was almost a year old. It happened two septembers ago. My mom said where is blu we need to get some pictures of him. He was outside playing with the cocker spaniel we had. She came in carrying him. He got his collar hooked on to a chair ouside and hng himself too. I remeber her bringing him in. i thought he was just laying on her arms but I relized that he was not breathing. I cried and cried.
I am at such a loss for words right now, I am soo soorry to hear about your loss. You are in my prayers.

Today has been a pretty good day for me.. Yesterday I was NYC and i went to the park and saw several Yorkies.. I told the one guy to make sure he removed the harness and he was so thankful i told him (as he never would have thought the harness could be dangerous).. The second lady I saw has a yorkie and she saw me tearing up and I told her my story, she then picked up the dog and put her on my lap and let me hold her.. It was nice... Today, I will probably take Ruby (my grandparents Yorkie, Mocha loved her) for the day and then tonight my friend and I are going to do our daily walk (but this time with both of her Malteses instead of just one)

OMG! That is the saddest thing I've heard in a while! I'm tearing up. I haven't been on in a couple of days, but I always loved to read your posts about Mocha. I pray that you have comfort. I'm so sorry for your loss.
