My dear, you did your part and did an outstanding job of it too. You have earned your wings. I'd step back now and just let the others decide on who gets the urn. Funny how some folks place more value on material things than all the right ones.

You did a good thing be proud..and someone is smiling on you for what you did.. ;)

I am surprised they would have her cremated and want the ashes.. since they went to so little bother when she was alive. :( Sad..

You did a wonderful thing. I'm sure it was a comfort to that little angel to have you there for her last few moments. I'd let the family decide what to do with the urn and stay out of it. Better not to get involved. You did your part, the rest of up to them.

I'm so sorry for all that you've been through. Just rest assured knowing that you did all you could and more for Sandy. She lived a long life and seemingly felt no pain, and you helped her to the rainbow bridge peacefully and in comfort.

Personally, I would not considered these people "friends" anymore, mainly because they passed such a thing onto you. What they did to you, and what they didn't do for her, is absolutely horrible. In the end, you did a wonderful thing for Sandy and that's all that matters.

As for the ashes, our vet gives the option of spreading them in a beautiful orchard. I have friends that have buried the body/ashes and planted something beautiful over top so something beautiful can continue to live... this family didn't care for their pet so why do they care for the ashes? Instead of letting an urn collect dust, they should do something along these lines.

agree, why the hell did she have Sandy then, im so ****ing angry about this, you did the right thing, even if HER OWNERS didnt. ffs why do people do this? and leave it down to you! feeling your pain, you did the right thing, and im sure Sandy is greatful that you were there, you understood.. :)

isnt it funny how there all squabbling and arguing over Sandy NOW!! too late, why didnt they do something for her when she was alive. the actions of some people really amaze me, are they even humans at all? :mad: :mad: :mad:
