Sweet Frankie Baby Some of you may have read my other post about the rescue I drove 8 hours for on Sunday. I dropped her at the vet's this morning only to receive a call that the dental problem was actually a cancerous lesion that had burst open. The smell was almost unbearable. They said there was nothing much they could do for her and that she definitely was up there in years. I accepted their suggestion to have her put to sleep to keep her from suffering any more. It had to be painful for her to eat. She had two wonderful days with us, getting all cleaned up, nails done and sleeping in a queen sized bed. I surely didn't think it was that bad and was really looking forward to having her. It just isn't fair to keep them around for one's own sake though. RIP Sweet Frankie Baby. I'm sure Chester was waiting for you on the other side of Rainbow Bridge. |
I'm so sorry. I had read your other post about the long trip to get her and cleaning her up. Oh, but you gave her dignity, joy and comfort. She was blessed to have found you. What a sweet soul. |
Ohh how sad, so sorry to hear about Frankie. May he RIP and have fun playing with all the other Yorkie babies who we have lost. |
aww i'm so sorry you had to have her put to sleep after only having her for two days. At least you gave her some loving for the two days that she had with you and i'm sure she appreciated it. RIP frankie baby |
So sorry to read your news. I was very happy that Sweet Frankie Baby was getting such a wonderful opportunity for a good life. How lucky she was to have you even for a few days and to leave this world so peacefully. |
oh nooooooooo,,, im so sorry sweetie.. i feel for you.. bless you and your family for doing what you could |
Bless your heart.. The poor baby is not in pain any more.. |
Poor thing, but it's probably better this way. You did the best you could and her final moments were with someone who cares - that's what really matters. |
I'm so sorry this happened. I'm sure little Frankie's last 2 days were the best 2 days of her life and she was able to feel loved and part of a real family. God Bless You and I'll bet she's already picked her favorite spot at the Bridge and is peeking down at you with the biggest, warmest, happiest smile -knowing that someone loved her with all their heart and was strong enough to take her pain and suffering away. |
oh no...:( Bless her heart you're so right ...that had to really hurt and that poor baby. You gave her something every dog should have - Love and security... What a good person you are to give her that and I'm so sorry it had a sad ending....:( :( |
Oh how terrible! I am so sorry for your loss. |
I'm so very sorry for your pain. My prayers will be with you. Dawn:rbyorkie: |
Sweet Frankie - I'm Sorry I'm so sorry to hear about your Frankie, how sad after an 8 hour trip to bring him home to a new life, where he would be loved and cared for, unfortunately you had to allow him to pass on, that had to be heart wrenching for you, though I think you can find solace in the fact you gave him more love in that short period than he had in his whole life probably, I may be wrong but he must have had that problem for quite sometime for it to have progressed to such a stage, kind of say's he wasn't loved very much, I would think a form of abuse for anyone to have allowed this to progress to such a stage, how very, very sad for dear Frankie, and what a kind heart you have. Yes, you did the right thing by Frankie, as difficult as it may be, your heart spoke volumes in an expression of your love for Frankie, that he may have never known in his life, he left with love, and in love. I'm am very sorry for your loss, it's heart breaking to lose a baby at any age. Papi |
