The last kiss 1 Attachment(s) Thank you all for the condolences, kind and comforting words to my post of my Pom "Comic" having to be put down. We are still adjusting but the tears still come. It will take time. Mya continues to look for him, wait for him to come through the door behind her or sits and waits for him when she has her leash on to go for a walk. I wish all the Canadian Yorkie Talkers a Happy Thanks Giving. |
I haven't read your other post, but I am so sorry about your precious pom having to be put down. My condolences to you and Mya, may you both help each other through this hard time!!:( Hugs to both of you! |
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Pom. Yes the tears come pretty easy for a few weeks. But then they give way to sweet and funny memories. |
I'm so sorry for your loss my prayers are with you and your family |
Poor little Mya. I feel so bad for the brother and sisters of a lost baby who keep searching for their best friend and not understanding what has happened. It must be as devastating for them as it is for the mommies and daddies. I am so sorry for your's and Mya's loss. I know Comic was such a special part of your lives. In time, the sad tears will become happy tears for the time you did share with Comic and all the love he brought into your lives. That is such a touching photo to have as a keepsake. |
I'm so sorry your fur baby had to be put down. I know when I lost my cat, every night when bedtime arrived, Adonis would be watching the foot of the bed, to see if she was coming to bed with us. It took a while for him to quit doing this. It sure made bedtime sad for both of us for a long time. |
They look so happy. I'm sorry about your loss. Your baby'll go her grieving process to but theres always a bright light at the end of the tunnell. Keep strong. Good things are coming your way. |
I'm so sorry for the pain you and your family are experiencing. I don't want to add to your pain, but I'm a little worried about that little one looking for the sister. Several years back I had 2 s**tz, Sasha my oldest one died at 8 1/2 yrs at the vet office and Candie was about 3 yrs when this happen. Candie never got to see Sasha again not even to take Sasha to the vets. Well long story short 3 wks later Candie got out of the apartment and we never found her. The vet said that Candie was probably looking for Sasha, since Candie never got to smell Sasha's dead body to know that she was gone for ever. I don't know what to tell you on how to help the little one stop looking, but until she does stop just keep an eye on her. I don't want anyone to go thou what I did. I wish you and your family well. |
Very sorry for your loss! We will certainly keep you and your family in our prayers! |
so sorry sweetie for your loss, i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a pet, and harder still to have another missing her friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Judy |
Atlantoaxial Instability (AAI or AAS) Hello, My name is Nell, I just lost my Tigs to AAI. (Atlantoaxial Instability) He had complactions after surgery. We had a long struggle and I miss him very much.. Going through a lot of adjustments as I am sure most do. His care was around the clock for many months and some days I just don't know what to do with myself with out him to care for.. Each day does get less painful with out him.. I came to this form looking AAI babies.. I have found that many Yorkies have AAI or AAS.. I have just started a support group, I wanted to make a place that other AAI moms could come for information and support. I am looking for some one that has had experence with AAI to share what they learned and may be there for other AAI moms at those very hard times. You are welcomed to contact me by email for more information at juannell@msn.com.. Sincerely, Nell Tigs will live forever in my heart! |
I have only heard of atlantoaxial instability in Down Syndrome kids. Never in dogs. Are you talking about a congenital spinal condition? |
Aai Hello, Yes it is the same thing... causes spinal cord compression. and can cause sudden death if cord is severed.. Can also cause sudden respiratory failure. Can look alot like low sugar.. Nell |
I am sorry for your loss . thank you for replying to my insensitive question. I am just learning about my Yorkie and all the inherent health issues to be watched for. Sometimes, as a nurse, I tend to take a too clinical look at things. My apologies. My prayers go out to you and thank you for making me aware of this potential problem. |
