R.I.P. My little Munchkin.
 

Today is a very sad day for our family..our eleven year old Yorkie was put to sleep due to a Brain Tumour. It came on him very quickly..a matter of months..had an MRI scan yesterday and discovered the awful truth...decided it was the kindest thing to do today...this was our one and only yorkie and to be honest, it's really killing us..the place is so empty and quiet without him..how the hell do you get over something like this. I don't know how I'm going to cope without him...he was my little friend, the one I would go to when feeling sad..he always made me happy and laugh. I'm not only crying as I write this but I am dying inside from the hurt and pain of losing him. :cry8: :cry8: :cry8: :cry8:

I am sorry for your loss. Our little furbabies can make such an impression on our lifes. I do not think you every get over loosing your baby. I lost a Maltese 2 years ago. I still see little things that bring back memories. Like another Maltese that looks or acts like her. But now the memories makes me smile and remember the good things about her. Just remember you did the best thing for him. He is at peace now. He is playing with lots of other furbabies.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your baby....May god ease the pain for you...I had to put my yorkie male down 2 years okay from liver shunt...Its a hard road to travel, but in time it does ease....You will start to think about him & all the good times...Nothing can ever replace him, but getting Lexie did help....RIP sweet little angel.....

I am so sorry for your loss. You very eloquently put into words pain that many of us have unfortunatly had to experience, and I for one found myself crying with you.

You are a wonderful pet owner and have obviously taken such good care of your little one. You were admirabley strong to recognize the time to help ease his burden and allow him to rest peacefully.

May peace find you as you hold your little one close to your heart forever.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You saved this little guy from suffering, what a selfless wonderful Mommy you are. Has hard as it is, we have to do what is best for our little babies.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss! I feel your pain, it was only a couple months ago when my precious Kloey was hit and killed, I thought I was going to die, she was everything to me. I will tell you it will get a little better with time, the emptiness will never go away, but you will be able to look back on the good times you had with your baby. In time maybe you will be able to find a new baby to love and help mend your heart, I know it can never replace him, but it will help ease the pain.

Dear Mitchell and Family, Please know that God hears your cries and he knows the pain you are going through now, I will be praying for you and your family, look to the Lord for his strength in dealing with your loss. We lost our precious Cassie last November 5th. She took part of our heart with her, we still cry a lot and miss her terribly, but our loss was in giving her back to the Lord for his keeping. Mitchell, another will never replace your precious one, but we found that in getting Baby Blessing she has helped us tremendously. Munchkin is all well now and with the Lord, Cassie and everyone's precious pets. We started looking soon after we lost Cassie to get another yorkie not to replace her but to give us the companionship that we so needed, my husband has Parkinsons, and what comfort Baby Blessing has become she has helped to fill the void in our lives that we were so missing without Cassie. We know all to well in getting Baby Blessing that she too is on loan to us from the Lord for however long he chooses that to be, but we are ever so grateful to him for the gift of being able to have her. God give you and your family comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss. To loose a beloved pet is a heartbreak for sure.
Only time will heal your pain. Stay strong and there are many, many people
here for you to give you the support you need.

I know how very hard it is. You just wish you could go with them and you could be together forever. That's how much they mean to us. We love them so much. You never know what tomorrow will bring and we find ourselves in this situation and it hurts so much and it hurts for so long. I'm so very sorry this happened to your little one. I remember how empty the house felt after losing ours. It takes all of the silliness out of our lives and the house looks so sad without their toys. I know now is not the time for you, but we had to go out and do it again. We still grieve today for our lost little one, but we had so much love to share and so much to give another little yorkie that we got one and we're so glad because it has helped to fill a great big void. Everyone is different, but I think once you've had one of these little angels, you can't live without them. Again, I'm so very sorry.

Putting a furbaby down is one of the hardest things to do in life. As time goes on you'll go on w/ your life, but as for getting over it, it's real hard. Like what Izzy's Mom said, you see somethig that reminds you of your baby, and it sparks up again. The last time I put a boxer down was 3yrs ago, and last week I saw a pitbull that had her exact same markings and I almost started crying, I felt like it was my baby. Just remember you did the right thing, your baby is no longer suffering. I give my condolences :(

It's always so sad when we open a post such as this. Many of us can understand your pain as we have been through it. Needless to say, it doesn't make it any easier for you. Please know that we understand and our hearts break for you. We know how deep the pain is and how your heart is truly breaking today. You did the just and right thing for your Little Munchkin and I know he/she loves your dearly for putting their best interest first before thinking just with your heart. We must all do this when the circumstances warrant it regardless how difficult it is. Please know our prayers are with you all. It's hard to believe now, but you will find peace with this as time passes. Just remember the good and know you are not separated forever. Next time you meet it will be for eternity together. Remember that!

I'm so sorry for you and your family! It's so hard to lose a member of your family, especially when he's been around forever! I hope you all get through this and someday, when you're ready, you get another baby to love on! God bless....

I had to have our cat put down and I must say it was extremely difficult and one of the hardest decisions to make and then follow through with. Our first dog was a cocker, then came a white spitz, then a black chow, then our first yorkie. The first three all died of old age but the day before I had finally convinced myself that there was nothing more we could do and planned on having them put to sleep the following day. The spitz died in my arms and both the cocker and chow died during the night. But this year our Reggie left us suddenly at 7 years old, leaving behind 5 baby girls 8 days old. There is no way to describe loosing a loving and loved furbaby, no matter what their age is. I feel for you and hope you don't wait to long to bring some joy back into your lives. If it wasn't for taking on the task of hand raising Reggie's girls, I probably would be in the looney bin right now even though we have several yorkies. The girls future made me focus on seeing them grow up. I miss my Reggie every single day and can see her traits in the girls. Not a one of them looks like her but each has something special about them that reminds me of her. I know your heart is heavy but hang in there. I'll be saying an extra prayer for you tonight.

I am so sorry for your loss. It causes such deep pain to lose one of our little ones. When I had to put my 16 yr old Koko to sleep I felt that I had lost a child. One reason it hurts so bad is because there is not one blasted thing you can do to change the fact that they're gone. It does get better with time. When you feel up to it a new baby can fill a different place in your heart with joy. He can never replace Munchkin but he will be a wonderful comfort to you. Remember, animals do not fear death as humans do...maybe they know the secret to it all. Munchkin is waiting at the bridge thinking of what a good life you shared and smiling with gratitude for your final act of kindness towards him.

I am sorry for your loss. I too have put my beagle to sleep a few years ago and yes it hurts. I don't know why I torture myself and wanted another dog. Now I have a yorkie and I cry just thinking of the day this will happen but death is inevitable and you did the best for your little guy. He crossed the rainbow bridge and is now waiting for you. Cherish your memories and know that he did not suffer because of you.
