Thank you all again! You have been so supportive. It was a "blue" weekend, but we know that she is in a good place with my Mom!! BTW - Rudy is "top dog" now, and he knows it! He is eating it up! Can't blame him, I guess. Thank you all again, and now that I've found you, I will share in your stories and lives. You have all been wonderful. Thank you! Lorie |

thinking of you I am so sorry about the loss of your little nipper....his picture looks like my little Max.......I know you must be very sad..... 15 years of companionship, love and trust can not be forgotten.....Our pets are absolutely an important part of our family and they have earned a place in our memories. I remember all of our many animal babies throughout the years.....each one was precious...but yorkies are doubly so. Max's Mom |
That is a tough decision to make, Foxy's Mom. But sometimes putting her down may be what's best for your Yorkie, no matter how hard that decision may be. |

Foxy I had to take Foxy to Mich. State Univ. Vet. Hosp. today. They didn't give me much hope of getting Foxy back in good health. And the costs were out of my range without having a solid indication that she could even be helped once all the stabilizing and tests were done. They told me just to bring her home and make her comfortable. I have always done that so I will continue to do so until I feel she should be let go. Hard, hard, hard!!!! She is such a sweetie. Thanks for putting up with my blubbering. Sharon |
Foxy's Mom - I can really feel your pain. Nip was diagnosed with Cateracts about 7 years ago and they progressively got worse to the point of blindness. Just about 4 months ago, she was diagnosed with severe glaucoma... we had no idea. About 2.5 years ago, Nip was diagnosed with kidney problems - we almost lost her until we literally nursed her back to health with low protein canned food, thinned with water, fed thru a dropper! When the cateracts appeared, we considered taking her to MSU, but decided against it since there were no guarantees. Same with the kidney problems. As a matter of fact, my neighbor's son is a grad of the MSU Vet School, and he came to look at her, and he didn't have any good opinions about her health. In our case, Nipper's time was up. Foxy is so young, but even humans can die young with diseased organs. Keep her comfortable and happy. We were always told that we'd "know" when it was time. We knew last Friday morning, but she gave up before we had to make the decision. I will pass that bit of wisdom on to you... you will "know" when it is time. If it isn't the time now, you will know when it is. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Lorie |
Gentle hugs for you and Foxy. I have said a prayer for you both. Please stop in here often for more hugs.......we all care very much....... |
Foxy Thanks for everyone's kind words and thoughts. I am feeding Foxy puppy formula with a syringe hoping that will give her some nourishment. She is still hanging in there but I don't know how long. It is up to her, I guess. I have one of her puppies. She's 5 mos. old now. Never will take the place of Foxy but she is part of her and that's a comfort. Her name is Fancy Pants. It's hard to be so sad about one dog and be so happy about another. It's really an emotional roller coaster around here!! I will keep you all updated. Thanks again. Foxy's Mom, Sharon |
Fancy Pants! Wow, the name alone is prissy enough! Foxy sounds like a fighter, I'm sure you'll take good care of her and know when the time comes what needs to be done... |
Foxy Foxy passed away last night at 12:30 laying right beside me. |
I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but dammit.....How loving and beautiful that she was right next to you......You are in my thoughts......gentle hugs....... |
:( You did all you could, Foxy\'s Mom, Yorkie Heaven welcomes another one now. |
Sharon, My heart hurts for your loss. Roxy is in yorkie heaven at peace. Take care and you are in my prayers.............Cindy |
Sharon ... I am so sorry for your loss. I know you are thankful to have a little part of Foxy in her baby ... so many who lose their babies are not that fortunate! You remain in our prayers. |
