Rest in Peace Little Junebug I like many of you thought I would never have to post here, but my friend lost her little female yorkie due to a routine spay. If only the vet would have waited until the blood work was returned then she would not have operated. But the mistake has been made and it cost the life of little Junebug. Junebug was on here way to stardom and had meet several celebrities and been seen with one when the cameras went crazy. She was a beautiful model for her clothing and was such a precious little girl. Such a precious little life to now be gone. I feel so bad for Jake as Junebug was one of her best friends, and the breeder of this little girl Junebug is at a loss also. The breeder kept her for 7 months and then Jake had her for five months. So both are feeling the pain of loss. The two of them have been in touch and crying with each other on the phone, so please send your good thoughts and prayers for them and Junebug. |
It is hard to find something to say... just know I am sorry.... |
Oh My, I am sorry sorry to hear that,my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this horrible time, rest in peace little junebug :rbyorkie: |
So sorry to hear about Junebug. Please pass along our sympathies. What did her preop blood tests show? I thought they always waited for the results, why else do them?? Do you know if a safe anesthesia was used, like isoflurane and she didn't receive a barbituate injection? Anesthesia is something we all fear, please provide any information you can that we should be aware of. |
So sorry for the loss if this little girl. Yes please send any details, I'm planning on having my Izzie spayed before too long. Right now she is a little over 5 months old and weighs 2 lbs 9 ozs. I am just so afraid to have it done. |
Poor little girl....that was hard to read - If it was a vet mistake then that makes it even worse.....I'm so sorry for your friend |

They sent the blood test out and did the surgery without the results, which by the way the results came in the next day. And of course it was way too late then. There were several things that were low and some things like potassium that was high. I do not know why in the world they would do blood and not wait for the results, but in my opinion that vet was really STUPID. I am very angry about all this and hope that something is done to this irresponsible vet. I could go on and on but it just makes me sick that now a tiny little life is gone for no good reason. |
OMG! im so broken hearted right now....to many puppies have died recently, including my little girl...this is too much!:rbyorkie: :justahug: |
