R.I.P Buddy, you were true to your name! 1 Attachment(s) Hi everyone, some people may not know but in March my beloved Buddy passed away from old age. She passed on under my computer table in her sleep, peacefully. She had been bleeding a little out of her mouth but we believe that had to do with her teeth (they weren't looking good, and we were actually planning on getting a dental for her.) The vet said the bleeding didn't have anything to do with her death, and her blood tests turned out fine. One thing was her lungs probably started giving up. She was 9-13 yrs old. [br]Here's the story about Buddy: [br] Almost exactly a year from the day of her death, me and my mom were driving home from my school and I saw a little dog passing the street. "Mom! Mom!! Look, there's a little puppy! Stop stop we gotta help him! As a truck almost ran over her, I was really scared and I prayed that she wouldn't get hit. She made it across the road and me and my mom followed her. Finally, my mom stopped the car, jumped out, and saved her life. I learned that this was no puppy, and she indeed was not a boy either. We took her to the vet for a checkup, to see if she had a microchip, put up signs, etc, but we never got any feedback. Later on my dad decided her name was Buddy. It was so unfair to only have her for only a year, but bless her she was the best I could ask for. Here's a picture of her, I'll be making a board with more pics of her soon (I'll post the link here ASAP! :)) |
I sent you a personal message. Patti |
I'm sorry she passed away. Take that year as a blessing for you and her. By you saving her from the streets you added a year onto her life. Who knows what could have happened, atleast she was able to spend her last year in a nice home. |
So sorry for anyone that cannot read that font color, I didn't realize how bright it is! Here it is again in a darker color :) Hi everyone, some people may not know but in March my beloved Buddy passed away from old age. She passed on under my computer table in her sleep, peacefully. I am so sorry for your loss. I had my first yorkie only about a year before he passed away. Sometimes a year is all we get. Remember how fortunate Buddy was that you found her and how happy you both were this past year. May time heal your heartache. Treasure the memories and take care ~ |

How wonderful tha you found her and gave her a wonderful last year. You truly have a great heart and I hope you find another baby to love. I am sorry for your loss. |
Ahh, what a sweetie you are and Buddy was, I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sure she is thanking you for saving her and giving her a wonderful life. A year was all she needed to bless you and your family. |
IM so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies. RIP :rbyorkie: Buddy :littleang . It was a blessing that you found her and gave a wonderful last year. She was a pretty girl. :ghug: |
R.I.P. Buddy She was a beautiful little girl and I know she thanks you for saving her from the mean streets. I am sorry for your loss...time will heal that empty space in your heart. |
Thank you for your kind words everyone, I've been browsing this part of the forums for quite some time, and I'm so happy that I got the strength today to post about Buddy. You are all so nice, much nicer than any other forum I have been to. On a different forum there are little groups of people and they don't care about anybody else..:( Patti, it's great to hear that you live in California too! Male or Female is just fine, but I do have a little bit of an age preferance, my family doesn't want to go through the loss of another dog in the next 7 or 8 years, It might sound a little cold hearted but that is what we have decided. My top doggie age is 5 years to be honest. We are not going to be 'serious business' until June 22nd because that is when my mom is off work and we will have time for the new dog and to comfort him/her in his/her new surroundings. So for now, we're just sort of looking but my bet is that any dog up for adoption now will probably still be around by June 22nd  I have actually found a few pups I'm interested in, one being Rainy's pup Parker, see here: http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listin...26page%25253D1 Another that is a yorkie/shih tzu mix that is not *technically* adopted, she's at a home where she might be adopted for a 2 week stay to make sure everything's okay (they told me this in an email) if you wan to see Ashley here's the link: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6410651 And last but not least, Marley is a cute little guy on a rescue that I've been watching for awhile. (If anyone's looking for an older yorkie Tony is handsome !) You can see him here: http://www.littlebowwowrescue.com/dogs.html Note: You may have to scroll down a bit before you can see him! ;) |
:fallen: :rbyorkie: :love-hug1  |
It's just not fair that are babies has to be taken away from us so soon, when they are just staring there life. I wish I had the answers, but I don't, all I can say is that when it's your time, I guess it's your time. At least you did get a year to be with Buddy, now she is another one of gods angels! I never thought I would have to post on RIP, but now I find myself lost when I come to YT, like I don't know what to do or what to say, so I come to the RIP section and just cry. I hope you find a new baby soon, it may just be the healing you need. Bless You! Hugs! Missy |
How sad that you lost your little darling...but how lucky she was to have you in her life for a year. You were gifts to each other. I hope you do find another little soul to love. I've learned that a little doggie in the house certainly helps heal a broken heart. |
so sorry for your loss sweetie, i will be thinking about you.. we are all here for you ok... |
Once again thank you everyone, I know that when I get my new yorkie (hopefully a yorkie!!!) s/he will definately comfort me. I'm really starting to enjoy this site it's very nice, there aren't any "groups" of people like all the other forums I've been to. Thanks so much for your support everyone, time has healed but there is still just that empty spot in my room with a paper on the wall that says "Buddy's Spot" and I have yet to remove it.. Thanks so much everyone, Royanne |
