Dear Corrine and Dan,
I ask God to give me words to put here as I know the pain you both are going through, we lost our precious one, last November, our Cassie. From your postings and your pm to me I feel like I know you both and want you to know you are in our prayers. Corrine, Jewel was never alone, Jesus had his arms about her and was with her till HE carried her across Rainbow Bridge, just as I know HE was with Cassie that long an awful night, untill HE carried her afar. Jewel was so blessed to have had such caring and wonderful people as yourself and you too were blessed to be entrusted from God to love and care for her in this life time. Oh, honey I am so touched by you wanting to be there for the cremation, when we got Cassie back it was the hardest, hardest to deal with, I wish we lived close so I could be there for you. To this day when I hold the urn that has Cassie's remains I feel the warmth and love from it that she always made me feel when I held her. I think cremation was a good choice that we made. Please know that we are much in prayer for you both and tonight you are especially heavy on my heart knowing what today held for you. Dan and Corrine, I am so very sorry to hear of your tragic loss. She was such a fighter and I read her progrress with such delight. Sending hugs your way :)

I am really sorry about your loss. I don't know what to say. It just broke my heart. I always enjoyed talking with you about your precious kids... Daijo-bu? I am sure she is now in tengoku! (heaven)..

Please know that my heart and sorrow is with you both as you greive for your little Jewel. She was a beauty!!! I hope that time will bring you healing and your will remember the happy times that you shared with your precious little one. I have been where you are now and it can be so sad and just lonely. I had my Tara for 18 1/2 yrs and had her cremated too. I just felt I needed to keep her close somehow. That was a very hard day. I just am lifting you up in prayer. Please know that God is there to comfort you, just ask him to.... We will be keeping you close in thoughts and prayers also.. Please keep talking to us TY'rs as we care.... Jewel is one of God's FurAngels now. She will be watching over you.... Hugs to you!!!! She has some really great Yorkie friends up in heaven that will luv on her!!!! Hugs to you both.....

Jewel had a neurological infection that was slowly killing her brain cells. She was not in the best of health and was up and down for the last 6 months of her short life. We almost had her euthinized in April but she fought back to be with us a little longer. The fall into the pond was too much trauma and shock for her. She was too ill to begin with. Our doctor told me if she had been a healthy dog, she should have recovered. She ended up getting pulmanary edema and was put on a respirator, later the next morning she had heart failue and left this world for a Glorious one to be with her maker.
