Question First off, I am so sorry to all of you who have suffered the loss of your beautiful furry friends. They are such a joy in our lives. I have yet to experience the joy of owning a Yorkie, but have been looking for months. It's really hard finding a breeder in Colorado. Anyways, is it common to buy a Yorkie for so much money and for them not to make it? I really don't want that kind of broken heart. |
I think the "horror" stories get a lot more press. That being said, make sure you see the puppy you are buying in its home environment. You can see the parents that way and meet the breeder. Lexy's breeder is so nice and she cried when I took Lexy! She also interviewd me as to the safety of my household, etc. I think this is a good sign. If you can't go see a puppy in person, get one from the references on this site. People here will tell you if a breeder is selling good puppies. Lexy's 2 adorable sisters are still for sale I think. Cost is $1200.00/ I'd rather pay more in the beginning than have to have surgeries and heartaches later on. Hope this helps you a little! Elizabeth |

I hope with time and research you find a reputable/honest breeder to give you a Yorkie to love for many many years. |
Hello!! Colorado!! Hello just read your post! Im in Colorado wish I was raising yorkies already we could get together! I would be more than happy to give you the name of my breeder I got my sweeties from. She has been raising them for over 30 years she has some that are a little larger and some really tiny 2.5 pounders like my Tinkerbell. If you are interested send me a message! |
