Not a dog but an animal friend Today a cat friend of mine had to be put to sleep, I know many people don't like cats but this one was special. His name was Thomas and he was 20 years old. I work at a car dealership and he has lived there almost his entire life, kinda like our mascott. I have only worked there for 5 years so I didn't know him as a kitten but in his older years he was still fun and was the loudest crier EVER! He would always beg for food and if we didn't give him any he would knock over our trash cans right in front of us. About two months ago I got him a cat bed and no one thought he would lay in it but he did everyday!! Well on Friday someone let him outside and he got into a fight with another cat, we took him to the vet but they thought he was fine so we brought him back. The girl who worked Saturday said he wasn't eatting much but seemed ok so today my boss went in to check on him (normally no one goes in on Sundays), well he wouldn't even look up or anything so she took him to the after hours vet where they said he had a bad infection from the cat bite and thought he could also have cancer so my boss decided the best thing to do was make him rest. So I wanted to share my story they buried him behind the dealership with his bed, we all hope he is happy and looking out for all of us. Thanks for listening...even though he was not a yorkie or even a dog he was still a special friend and my babies loved to go in and play with him. |
Awwww, what a sad story. I love all animals and always had a cat growing up. This kitty led a long life and is lucky to have had you in his life for the past 5 years. I am glad that he was buried with his bed. He will definitely be the guardian cat angel now. |
I'm so sorry that you lost your friend, Thomas...nevermind that he wasn't a Yorkie. He was very special and it's so nice that you made his last days comfortable with the bed. He lived a long life and he will be missed. Take care and remember that he is in a better place now. :girl_hug: |
I love cats. I'm so sorry that you lost him :( But he lived a nice long, happy life. |
I am very sorry that you lost your friend . |
Ah that is a nice story , and it sounds like he had a great life and alot of people who cared for him, 20 is pretty old for a cat, so he was lucky in that respect. I had a cat and had to put her to sleep 2 years ago at the age of 16, I know exactly how sad it is. :( |
Thomas sounds like he was a real character. What a great, long life he had. Sounds like you all were wonderful to him and I am very sorry that he is gone. I am sure everyone will miss him but after 20 years you will have lots of great memories. |
Thank you all so much for caring this is why I love this site |
I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a friend is hard, no matter what kind of Yorkie it is. Sending hugs. |
I, too, love cats and had one until I got pregnant 5 yrs ago. I had to rehome him after bringing home a 4 lb son with a 15 lb jealous cat. I am so sorry for your loss. You have a guardian angel now. |
I am so sorry for your loss. I love cats too. Dogs, cats,it does not matter they are all little angels that come to earth to give us joy and in return they get love from us and when they leave it is hard to bear the pain. Thomas is happy at the bridge now. |
awhh that's so sad... :( |
Sounds like he was a character. He will be missed by a lot of people who cared for and loved him.. |
We love Kitties I'm so sorry that you lost Thomas. :fallen: :cat: |
