My darling Tinkerbelle (aka Tinkerbrat) is gone. I haven't posted for a long time but wanted to let those of you know, who remember Tinkerbelle and me from days gone by, that she passed away today. She was almost 15 years old. I got her in 2006 and she was my precious little sweetheart even when she was a brat, which was often. ;) Many YTers went with me through the difficult health problems she had as a youngster and supported us with many thoughts and prayers and even some stuffed frogs when I couldn't find those she loved and she was so very sick. Today I buried her with her last remaining stuffed frog, her ball and kong, and her favorite blanket which was a frog blanket gifted to us by a YTer years ago. Tink was a Yorkiepoo rescued from a Miller/BYB who we were thankfully able to close down 11 years ago. YT was a wonderful source of information, ideas, clothiers, support, love, and friendship that has lasted all these years and no one ever once chastised me for taking a pup from a rescue group that wasn't even weaned yet and not a purebred. Tinkerbrat was a lot of work, expensive, frustrating, difficult to potty-train and a brat that brought me great joy, taught me patience, loved me back unconditionally and without question, supported me through several life-threatening illnesses and always greeted me with a happy bark and the wagging stub of a badly docked tail. I will grieve for her for a long long time because I loved her so very much. I wish all of you the enjoyment and love with your furfriends that I had with Tinkerbelle. It was a good 15 years. Sleep peacefully my Tinkerbrat. Mommy will always love you.:angelyork:hearts33: |
So sorry for your loss, these little imps take a piece of our hearts when it's time for them to leave us. |
Oh no! Poor Sweet Baby! RIP Sweet Girl. Hugs to your mom. So sorry. |
So sorry |
Tink will be missed by many Susie because she was loved by all that knew her. I remember all to well her medical history and her obsession with frogs. I can only imagine she and Winston finally meeting one another...I just know it was love at first sight!!! Rest peacefully sweet Tink, loved and missed. My thoughts, prayers and love to you Susie, losing them is hard, painful and at times unbearable...but the love you shared will last forever in spirit, your heart and all those precious memories, hugs my friend!!! |
Reading your post gives me tears. Tink reminds me of my dear Keally that passed in January 2010. Bless you for giving your baby a wonderful home . I hope she meets Keally in heaven . I am so sorry for your loss and I hope each day gets better. I always look at my pictures of Keally and think of the wonderful times we had together. Susan |
I am sorry for your loss. And I sure do understand. 15 years are a goooood long life for a dog, and it sound like she had a QUEEN'S life with you! I should say Princess.....<winks>....since she loved those Frogs, ey? |

I am the same way about my little Cocker, Joy. My constant companion for 15 years. It's hard. Even now. After 3 years w/o a small dog, I knew it was time. I have to say. Katy is right there beside Joy now in my heart! And Katy keeps me busy and HAPPY! |
I am so sorry that your sweet Tinkerbell has crossed the rainbow bridge! May you soon be comforted by the memories of all of the wonderful, loving times which you shared together. R.I.P, sweet girl. |
