Diamond from dog's ashes? Has anyone looked into this? Has anyone done this? There are a lot of companies out there but I don't know who to trust. They process and compress the ashes and make a real diamond. |
Can't offer experienced insight. It's a wonderful idea, though, one that leaves me with tender, pleasing thoughts. |
I do not have experience with the diamond/gemstone process, but I have decided to make a glass memorial piece using my Ozzie's ashes. Ozzie and Beauregarde, my elderly poodle, were the best friends ever! They were never apart...where one was, you would find the other. Beau still prefers the dog bed that he would share with Ozzie, and will often wander away from Ty and Gus to curl up for a nap there. When Beau crosses the rainbow bridge, I will be mixing his ashes with Ozzie's, and making a memorial piece so that they will never have to be apart. There are several sites online. The one I like [url]www.spiritpieces.com. They have a number of beautiful dog-themed memorials. |

Everyday I learn something new on YT. Thank you nanajoy. |
The diamond looks pricey. A quick google search show it starts at $2490 |
I saw a news feature about this ability years ago. Seems like a neat idea if the repro gem is really proved to be from the dog's ashes - that would be my concern if it were very pricey. |
