My Sweet Baby Boy, Bailey is in Heaven
 

One week ago today, Bailey, my love and True Friend of The Family went to Heaven. He had a heart murmur which resulted in congestive heart failure. I am grieving still. He was born in March and almost to the day, 14 years later he left us. I have never mourned as I am now. My wife and son are also taking this loss very hard. I still have Mia, my 8 year old but she too is grieving the loss of her friend. We will be holding a memorial service at our home on Easter Sunday (my birthday) and toasting our Bailey with Bailey's Irish Cream. I know there are many of you out there who have experienced the loss of your dear ones and I would appreciate hearing from you if you can find the time.

We are already considering another Yorkie. We can't replace our boy but I know that he would want us to provide our boundless love to another boy or girl. We are thinking we would like an adult over the age of 2 or 3 that needs the best care and most loving environment possible. I do all my own grooming, nails and teeth brushing. Also on our wish list is one between 6 and 12 lbs. My boy was 11 lbs so we are partial to larger Yorkies but not too large since we have a built in "doll-door" which will accommodate only something under 12-13 lbs.

I think it is wonderful that you want to rescue a furbaby that might not otherwise enjoy a loving home like yours.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet little Bailey, as painful as it is you have to stay strong for Mia as she is missing her BFF and can't understand he will never be back. These babies feed off our emotions and will grieve more. I have been there. It is fantastic that you are thinking of getting another baby, a rescue, a new baby will help you and your family to heal and lil Mia as well. It's always so very tragic when we loose one of these sweet lil babies. Easter memorial service for lil Bailey what a great tribute to him. Keeping you and your family in my prayers to get you through this painful time.

I am so sorry about your loss. It is truly devastating. We lost out 10 yr old yorkie boy, mocha to what the dr thinks was chf. It was very sudden and we are still grief stricken. We decided to get another yorkie thinking it would help our 13 yr old toy poodle, out 6 yr old spaniel and of course , us. He is an 11 weeks old yorkie and we named him Bailey so your post got my attention. We will never forget our mocha or stop loving him but Bailey has helped. He keeps us busy.😊 Good luck on getting the right baby to complete your family and help a little on easing the sadness.

So sorry for your loss. Our furbaby Cleo passed away too last January. She left behind a litter mate brother Ceasar. She was 13 1/2 . We all missed her so much.
I could feel your pain. My husband and I were not blessed with human kids but HE gave us these two loving and loyal furkids.
I\'m sure you have tons of great memories of your Bailey to remember him with.
