My Parrot Trixie Passed Away I know Trixie was not a yorkie but he was my little Kinder's buddy. I had him 42 years and he ran my life. I loved him so much and miss his talking. Tuesday May 16 I had to make a decision and then have my vet do a necropsy on him. He lost a little weight and had a little clicking in his chest. I got him in right away and my vet gave him a shot of antibiotics. He got better but the little bit of weight loss bothered me.Tuesday he had that look in the eye he was not himself which told me get him back to the vet. After the necropsy my vet told me we did the right thing his intestines were hardened and liver enlarged. He was on his way to slowly starving to death. I feel so bad I always did everything for my feathered kid. He was a beautiful yellow naped parrot. I am so devastated to lose him .Susan |
So sorry for your loss. Before yorkies I had dwarf parrots, I know the love and bond we have for them. All pets are like children that always need our love and care (((hugs))) |
Susan, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved YN parrot Trixie's passing. I, too have YN parrot who will be 25 and know the special bond that is had with our feathered kids. He is flying freely at R. B. where all of our sweet ones are waiting for us. Hugs to you. |
So,sorry for your loss! |
Losing such a huge part of your life has got to be so painful. I know you miss his talking to you, his little jabbering noises and special ways he greeted and interacted constantly with you. That empty perch must be agonizing. I'm so sorry. |
I'm so sorry that your little friend has passed, he will be missed. We had a cockatiel for 19 years and when we lost him the space was so empty but I could never have another. You did the right thing not to let him suffer. |
Thank you everyone it sure helps to read the posts. Susan |
I am so very sorry. |
