Meika, I still love you
 
My dear Meika, it was two years ago today that you died in my arms. Tears are flowing today, as I remember that horrible day, one of the worst in my whole life. I just want to say I love you Meika, and wish I could hug you one more time, and feel your silky hair, and see your smile. You were such a special girl, and such a big part of our lives, and are deeply missed.

I also want to say thank you to the many Yorkie Talk members who were so supportive. Many are not on here much any more, nor am I, but I could not have made it through this loss without you. You are all angels.

And my heart goes out to all of you who come to this section to share news of beloved fur kids passing. I feel your pain. We are sadly thrown into this situation together, but it's wonderful that we can help each other deal with the grief and heal our hearts.

Sandy, you were in my thoughts and prayers yesterday on the sad anniversary of your loss. Meika will always be in your heart. I know you will miss her deeply always.

I'm so sorry Sandy. I so loved your photos of Meika and my heart just sunk to the floor when I read your thread that horrible day. I know what you mean, every May 20th makes me feel sick to my stomach and sad (that's when Minnie died in 2013). You just have to remember the good times. Meika passed young, but when I see all those happy photos of her leading your pack I know she lived a lot of life in her time on this great Earth. What a stunning girl Meika was, have you ever seen a happier pup than in your photo here?

Thank you dear friends for your supportive comments. I know I will always miss Meika, and some days it all comes back and hits me like a ton of bricks. I do have so many good memories of her though, and lots of pictures of her smiley face.

I am also blessed to have Tiki, Karlee and Kayla who are all doing fine and are such little love bugs, and my boyfiend's Border Collie boy, Loki, is with us most of the time. He is such a good boy and gets along so well with the furgirls.

So sorry and sad.
We lost our Rocky (14yrs old) 3 weeks ago after fighting kidney disease for many years.
We go on with our little Mojo, he misses his big brother��

Thank you for the nice post. It is so hard to lose our fur kids but I do believe we will see them again. Your baby sure was a pretty little girl. Susan

I'm sorry I wasn't on YT when you posted this, but think of you and Meika, always with warmth and a smile. I'm sorry you lost your beloved little girl, especially so tragically. You fought so hard to save her that day and from her diabetes and shared such a wonderful life with her. I know you carry Meika with you deep inside your heart and always remember her with endless love. Love lasts forever.

I am so very sorry. It seems time does not always heal our wounds, it just makes things a little different. It will be three years on April 14 that our baby October passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. I still wonder what I could have done differently.

My heart goes out to you, and I will pray for comfort as you still miss Meika on the anniversary of her passing.
