Goodbye Chelsea 10/12/2013 - 24/03/2015
 

Today after an attack from a neighbour german shepherd( who hasn't been trained and owners are drunks) we lost a little, fragile, loving soul, our dear Chelsea. As we were taking a daily walk, careless owners were putting their dog in the trunk(known to attack people and other dogs) without a leash or muzzle. It jumped out of the car and attacked my little Chelsea, without a chance to save her. She was bitten in her stomach piercing her stomach tissue.
After a 3 hour operation under anasthetic she was released home. She was very weak and had to sleep all the time, she wouldn't eat, only drink water. Today after a doctors visit, her temperature had dropped by 5 degrees Celsius.
We put her in a eletric warmed blanket. Things seemed fine at first, but after a few hours of sleeping, she suddenly started shaking.. and soon wasn't breathing or moving.. We tried everything we could to make her come back, but it was clear she was gone. She was a naughty and wild soul, but loving and adorable at the same time. She would not behave without a leash and tore a few books to shreads. But she would always come to you and lay by your side and snuggle up next to you in bed. She would lick your fingers in gratitude when you pet her. She never ran out of breath and was always ready to run anywhere. She was our little princess.
Now she's free of pain, running around in a better place..:cry:

My heart broke reading your story. I'm deeply sorry for the tragic loss of your little girl. I hope someday soon your beautiful memories of Chelsea will replace the painful ones you have now.

How very tragic...I'm so very sorry for your loss!

how terribly sad, I am sitting here crying and pissed off/angry at that same time. It seems like every other week this happens to a precious little one because of a careless owner of a larger dog. Unfortunately I understand your pain all to well as it happened to me in the past. I looked at your photos, she was beautiful and sounds like a wonderful yorkie. Time will help ease your pain but her paws will be forever wrapped around your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss and the experience you had to endure. You went to great lengths to save you baby. What a shame that people are so careless and your little Chelsea had to pay the price.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious beautiful little Chelsea. It's heart breaking to hear the terrible way it happened. Its hard enough to let them go to natural illness but to go through this has to be awful to get over. I pray you will be strengthened daily as your heart starts to heal.

It has been my greatest fear that one of mine would be attacked, and something I worry about still. I hope the irresponsible owners are punished, even though it won't bring your girl back, but hopefully their dog won't be able to do this again to someone else's.

Oh, I am so, so very sorry for the loss of dear, sweet Chelsea. I looked through her photos, she was such a BEAUTIFUL girl! Its obvious that she had a wonderful, loving home and that she was loved so very much. I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. I know losing our babies is so very hard, but sometimes when its under such tragic circumstances that are so unexpected it can be even more difficult. I lost my little girl due to an accident as well, so if you ever need to chat I am here. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Oh what an awful thing to happen to your baby. Chelsea knew you loved her so much and tried to save her. You did everything for her and I pray each day gets easier. Hi welcome to Yorkietalk, sorry it's under this tragic circumstances. People like that should not be allowed to have dogs. I hope that they are punished and that measures are taken so that this doesn't happen to anyone else..

But most of all, I'm so sorry for your loss of your little Chelsea. She was a pretty girl. She knows you loved her and did everything in your power to try to save her. I hope one day the painful memories are replaced with all those beautiful memories you have of her and you together.

I am sorry to hear this, what a sad and tragic way to lose her. I lost my Crystal when she was involved in an accident. The shock is so hard on one and yet try to remember the good times, I'm sure there were so many. God Bless You always but especially while you are going through such a difficult time.

I feel so sorry for your Yorkie Chelsea.
Same thing happened to me. My beloved Bella was killed in our own backyard for dogs that neighbors had.

I just read your post and looked at the pictures you posted of your beautiful little girl. So sorry for your loss!
I hope your burden/sorrow has eased some by now and the good memories of her are foremost in your hearts.
Please let us know if the owners of the aggressive dog were punished.
