Raven and Mom This week we had to put our Raven down (15 yrs. old this month) - kidney disease. He was doing well shortly after being dx. but took a real quick turn for the worse on Monday, and was put down on Wed. Our vet is wonderful!!! On top of that, my mom was placed in CCU on Monday, and now the doctor is talking to us about hospice. I know another member of YT was going through a similiar situation a couple of weeks ago, and i have been thinking of her. Our new little gir, Hope, is helping, even thought she might not know it. She is a doll, and Raven was very sweet to her when she came. Don't know what i would be doing without her right now. Thanks for listening!! |
Oh my gosh I can't even imagine the pain you are going through right now. I am so sorry to hear about not only your precious Raven but also your mom. I will defintely keep you and your family in my prayers as you struggle through this difficult time!! |
I know the pain you are feeling, as I am the member of YT that lost both my sister and my love, Lacey on the same day. It's never easy to have God take both a relative and a four-legged love, but I firmly believe that my sister passed by my house on her way over the bridge and took Lacey with her. I was also blessed that the funeral director allowed me to bury Lacey with Pauline, and now they will be together forever. You can take great comfort in knowing that Raven had a long, full life, and that he is waiting over Rainbow Bridge for you. And if your Mom should not make it, just know that she will stop by and pick up your baby. Your new little girl will never take Raven's place, but she will weave her way into your heart just as your little man did. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |
I will keep you and your family in my prayers. |
Omgosh - how is your mom doing ? I'm so sorry about your Raven...and very sorry to hear about your mom ...I said a prayer for you and your family too....How are you holding up ? |
I am soo sorry to hear about Raven and your mom. I also lost my yorkie Lacey the same way. Kidney failure. She was 13 years old and my mom had to put her to sleep. It was the most devastating day of my life. We tried to keep her alive by fluid treatments 3 times a week. And it prolonged her life by nearly 3 months after her diagnosis. But, nothing could really be done and we saw how bad she was suffering. She could no longer even eat her food the last 2 days. It only brings me peace knowing she is longer in pain. I am sure my Lacey and your baby Raven are playing together in Rainbow Bridge. No longer in pain. Just recently I put a down payment on another yorkie female puppy born 3 days after Christmas. I may go visit her at the breeders tonight. But, nothing will ever replace my Lacey. I am here if you ever want to talk. Prayers are going your way for your mom and in the memory of Raven. |
I am so terribly sorry for your loss of Raven and your Mom's illness. We will keep you all in our prayers. God bless you! |
I am so very sorry. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. |
Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts. My mom passed away last week. She was able to visit with our new Hope before she died, and she loved her! I think about Rainbow Bridge, and it helps with my thoughts of Raven. and our Gizmo we lost in the spring. It has been a year of loss for us. I have been visiting YT and it helps. You folks are great! |
