Missing you, Gizmo,with all of my heart
 
I just couldn't log on before tonight ,because, i am suffering from such a broken heart. My beloved 15 year old Yorkie named Gizmo, who was my constant companion from the day I rescued him from a house of abuse, had to cross over the rainbow bridge after suffering a stroke. I had to do what was right and humane for him, and that was three weeks ago, and i am still crying. he was so very special. we went through so many things together over the 15 years I was lucky enough to have him by my side.it might be just my imagination, but I could sware that from the day i rescued that less then 1 pound yorkie puppy from his abusers, and nursed him back to health, which included two surgeries to repair Legg Perthe Calve syndrome, and a titanium implant, he looked into my eyes as if he knew I saved him. he looked at me like he looked at no other! I am so grateful for the 15 years of love he gave me. it was the hardest decision i had to make but i knew it was the right thing to do so he would not suffer...RIP my dear Gizmo..I will love you forever ans ever..Mom

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of your precious, sweet Gizmo. He sounds like such a soulful little being, looking into your eyes like that! Bless your big heart for rescuing and healing this precious little one - and for giving him SUCH a beautiful, fulfilled, safe life. :love:

so so very sorry for your loss of Gizmo...thank you for saving him and loving him for 15 years. he obviously knew you were his savior and I am so glad he found you. hugs to you.

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet Gizmo. He sounds like an amazing pup & you gave him a fantastic & long life. Take care.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I can feel your pain from reading your post. You gave him 15 years. There's a lot to be said for that. I hope you find peace soon.

So sorry for the loss of your lil Gizmo, I can feel your pain, this past Oct. I had to put down my 16 y/o girl. Gizmo was blessed to have you for as his mom. (((hugs)))

Thank you so very much for your kind words about my loss of Gizmo..it made me feel so much better to know other yorkie lovers care about the little angels known as "yorkies "as much as i do. I truly believe they are the most special breed of all! Michele Aniello

So terribly sorry for your loss of Gizmo and the heartache you are feeling! You were so fortunate to have each other for 15 years, what a blessing!! How lucky we are to experience this kind of love :-)

if anyone knows of a reputable breeder of Yorkshire Terriers in the Nassau County or Suffolk County on Long Island in New York please let me know ASAP as I would love to start a new chapter with a new little sweet Yorkie..Michele

I do not know of any breeders but I would like to say that I am so glad that you are willing to open your heart to another!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Gizmo. You were both blessed with an amazing life together, that must have been full of great memories.

Yes, Yorkies certainly are angels. I am happy you are ready to open your heart and life again to all the joy a little Yorkie can bring, and I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your Yorkie owner life.

I cry with you as I read your text. Gizmo was a companion and friend. Dogs just know when we need comfort and they are there for us. My Shadow and Tuffy sat on my bed the whole time I had chemo and suffered. Constant friends. I miss them terribly. You were so blessed to have Gizmo and you were the best mom to him. He probably lived so long because of your love and care. Now he is not suffering. He is waiting for you and with his Creator. My prayers of comfort for you at this very tough time.

I am so sorry for you loss of Gizmo. 15 years is still not long enough. This I know. I am happy you gave him such a wonderful life. I am sure he was too. He chose a good mama.

There is no other pain like loosing a faithful companion!! I'm am sure you both rescued each other. May your memories keep you strong until you meet again. Hugs :animal-pa
