RIP Yoda Abraham Wu - 4/23/2002 to 4/17/2014 2 Attachment(s) Yoda Abraham Wu (April 23, 2002 to April 17, 2014) Yoda's little body just couldn't handle his diabetes, cataracts, blindness, kidney and pancreas issues any more and he went off to Rainbow Bridge this morning (April 17, 2014). He was just six days shy of being twelve years old. He had a final last breakfast made by his Mommy and then he got his favorite Greenie treat after. Yoda went to Rainbow Bridge with a full and happy stomach. Eating was probably his favorite thing in the world besides cuddling with his parents. Yoda will be joining his brother Winky and if you have any family members at Rainbow Bridge currently, please let them know about Yoda and welcome him. Yoda taught us so much, about love, friendship, companionship and being a good person. He was our first buddy and we'll always cherish the time we got to spend with him, even though it was not nearly enough time. For those of you that don't know, Yoda was the inspiration for YorkieTalk and the reason for its existence. Yoda's Mommy and I were new Yorkie parents and we just didn't know how to be a good Yorkie parent, so we founded YorkieTalk just over ten years ago. Yoda's face has been the YorkieTalk mascot since it was founded. We have made many friends, learned a lot, laughed a lot and cried some too. Yoda brought joy to everyone he met and he will always remain in our hearts and thoughts. Yoda is a friendly little guy and he just wants his site to be a friendly little community for all Yorkie lovers. Yoda thanks you for being part of his community and wishes all his human skinfriends a happy, joyous fun life with their Yorkies. After he became blind, his trademark green eyes become cloudy. This is one of the favorite songs Yoda liked to listen to with us (or just a lot of it reminds us of him, even though the lyrics are about a girl)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...qpCdOKak#t=153 Good night, sweet dreams, and we'll always love you, our sweet Prince Yoda! Love, Your Family PS. Winky missed his big brother greatly while at Rainbow Bridge the past two and a half years and is joyed to have his best buddy ever back in his life. :) |

To Yoda's Dad and Mom, I am deeply sorry for your loss, and I am praying for your comfort. Yoda was obviously such a special boy and his legacy is this wonderful forum that he inspired. Yoda, run free with your brother Winky at the Rainbow Bridge. You will always be in the hearts of the people here. |
RIP Yoda I'm so saddened to read this. My deepest sympathy to your family. I understand the pain and loss, I've been there myself and know how you feel. No words can comfort you now, but knowing Yoda had a wonderful life, was deeply loved and loved you must bring you comfort. It may be hard to believe right now, but some day you'll smile at his memories. My heart goes out to you. I wish I'd known Yoda...I'm new here but hope to hear more about your little guy. God bless. Sallye & Halo |

I am very sorry for your loss & Pray that your heart heals fast. Now off little Angel, it's time for you to be with Winky again. Mommy & Daddy will miss you both but for now, wait with Winky at the bridge. R.I.P. Yoda. |
This is such terrible news and I'm so very sorry for your loss of Yoda. What a wonderful life you gave him. I send sincere and heartfelt sympathy and love to you. I feel so bad for you. God bless the memory of your precious Yoda. |
My heart breaks for you now that little Yoda has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, a trip he put off as long as he possibly could. But your little Prince is well again, and playing and running free now, satisfied with the wonderful, exciting trip he made through this world, together with his beloved mom and dad, and ready for his reunion with Winky and all our doggie angels already there and waiting for him. His YorkieTalk forum has and will continue to serve and benefit Yorkies and those that love them the whole world over and that's a towering achievement for anyone, let alone a tiny little terrier with big green eyes and a sweet, inquisitive little face, just wanting to be loved. I'm sure we'll all try our very best to continue to keep YorkieTalk a place Yoda will always be proud of - the single best place on the Internet for making friends and exchanging good information, advice and opinions on all things Yorkie. We'll never forget you, Yoda Abraham Wu. |
