I can't believe I am just seeing this. I am so sorry for the loss of Peek. He lived a wonderful life with you.

5 years or 15 years of life, saying goodbye is never an easy thing to do with our beloved pets...but when I think of Peek, it gives me hope that my boys will share as many years with me as Peek did with you. I am sure he was such a great blessing in your life, therefore, I only can imagine how great of a loss you are feeling right now. Hopefully you will be able to find some comfort in knowing that you gave him a great family, filled with love and that he lived a long, happy life with you. You must have been a wonderful mom to him for him to reach the ripe old age of 17!!

It's been 2 months now... I am doing much better. Accepting that he's really gone and getting back on a new schedule. I'm able to laugh more without crying as I remember his antics... still miss him but the pain in my heart has eased up some.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The communication really helped keep me grounded, and knowing others care that really understand the grief...

I have not posted here in awhile, but I think of you often, Kathy.

I'm glad you are doing better and smiling, laughing thinking about the great memories of your special boy.

Kia has been gone over a year, and she still dreams of her and cries, missing her.

Grief has no time limit.

Kat, just thinking of you and your sad loss of Peek, and sending more hugs. There seems to be no end to how much we love our little furkids, and how life just isn't quite the same after they are gone.

You give me hope though, that I will eventually work through the grief of losing Meika that is so painful now.
