Thanks to your support... we are getting a new little guy. I want to thank all of you for your sympathy and support when our beloved little 13 y.o. Axel died last February. Our home has been so quiet and we still call out that "Daddy's home!" when the garage door goes up- but Axel isn't there. My daughter has pushed me to get another dog, but I have been so heartbroken, I could not even think of it. Well, circumstances have led me to a little 2 year old who was discarded and now in a rescue foster home. I remember all the respionses from many of you about how Axel "would not want my arms to be empty very long" and that he would want us to give another doggy brother our love too. So, we are adopting this little guy on Saturday! We are so excited, yet emotional to. I am looking forward to sharing about our new boy- not sure if we will keep his name and learning how to keep him happy and healthy from all of you! Axel's paw prints will be on my heart forever. Thank you so much!:yorkiej: |
Congrat's on your new puppy. I know you can not replace Axel but I'm sure he would want you to love another as you did him for 13 year's. He's probaly grinning ear to ear that you are rescuing another. I know Axel will be in your heart's forever, But remember the good time's he brought you. What will your new puppy's name be? I'm so excited for you . Please keep us posted on how he is doing when you get him, I just love reading happy ending's. Have a great day.:p Anne/Luci:animal-pa |

Congratulations!! Can't wait to see pictures. |
What joy Your posting brought to my heart, I am so happy for you and your family in making the decision to get this little fella. Whatever you decide to name him will be perfect. I believe Axel would be very happy that you are ready to give that special love from your hearts to another. I can picture Axel, our Cassie and all others fur loves reaping the pleasures that God had waiting for each of them, we all hold them forever in our hearts and I believe we too will enjoy all with them someday. hugs, Patti and Jack |

Hope your new baby brings lots of joy to you. When we lost our dear Keally in 2010 ; we did go on six months later. What a joy to have another and give her a wonderful home like Keally had. Have fun and enjoy. Susan |
Bless you hearts for giving this little guy a wonderful loving home. I'm sure little Axel is smiling down on you and he knows that he will always have a special place in your hearts. |
Congrats on the new member in your house, and for adopting/rescuing an older "pup":). Bob |
What you this little one will bring you and your family. He is not a replacement for Axel but another addition to your family.:D |
I'm so glad you are taking this step. This little guy is very lucky to have a family to love him so much. |
Congratulations! I will be looking forward to the pictures!!! :) |
What a great way to honor Axle by caring for another yorkie boy! I understand the pain. I went 3 years without a yorkie, after Chelsea died. I was convinced there was absolutely no way I could love another dog like I did her. But then after both my kids went away to college and I was home alone, they thought I needed another dog, so they found ZoE for me. I adore her and love her just as much as Chelsea and feel like I'm honoring Chelsea by caring for another yorkie girl. |
Congratulations!!! looking forward to pictures! |
