Honey has just passed I have had her since I was 10 years old and at the age of 17 she just passed away. She had been blind for the past 3 years, but still gotton around pretty good. She had been struggling to get up and walk around for the past few days, but I know when I give her a treat of a slice of turkey and a slice of chicken she pops right up and gets around great. I gave her this as always every night & then she chugged some water and as usual I know to take her outside immediately to use the restroom. She fell over outside and when I tried to pick her up to get her legging she wasn't getting up and I could tell by the look in her eyes that it was the end. I ran water on her in the sink and she was able to gather herself a little bit to pick her head up to rest on me, but she could barely breathe and I held her for the last half hour, then she had a few final shrieks and passed. I loved Honey so much, she was best dog in the world and I don't know how i'm going to get by without her. |
I am sooooo very sorry for your loss of your precious little Honey. She had a wonderful long life, which is a testament to the wonderful care she received during her time with you. These precious babies are "loaned" to us for a very short time, and during that time with us, they teach us so many wonderful lessons that we carry with us for the rest of our lives. Honey has not only help you form wonderful characteristc that make you a better and stronger person, she has left you some beautiful memories of her, of the two of you, together, to cherish for the rest of your life. and she passed over to Rainbow Bridge, in your arms.... your arms were the safest, most loving place in the world to her and that is exactly where she wanted to be at the time she left on her journey to the Bridge, where she waits for you to come get her. She closed her eyes, looking at the face she loved most in the world, and she carries with her, your scent, which was on her last breath....she was your loving, devoted companion for many years, and she would have not wanted to be any other place than in your arms as she left on her journey. You allowed her that priviledge. She is whole, healthy, running and playing in the beautiful fields at Rainbow Bridge, and when your time comes, you will stop there, and she will see you coming and she will run to meet you and you will continue on together. Always remember, here on this Earth, in this life, comes the struggle, and then comes the restoration! She is restored and is so happy and healthy now, again, and waits for you, her faithful and loving companion, to stop and get her when you start your own journey! |
