My dog died at 7 years old.
 
My black labrador retriever named Blacky died yesterday and I feel terrible! I don't even wan't to go to my backyard at all anymore because I could not stand seeing his things in an empty backyard. He just got really weak and would not eat anymore and seemed to have trouble breathing out of no where. In less than 24 hours, he died! He didn't make a noise or anything. When I saw him last he looked very calm about it. I really wish he did not suffer. I loved him so much! He died so young which makes me wonder why he did die so young!:(

p.s I'm sorry I'm talking about my lab in a yorkie forum :/ I just need to talk to somebody.

So sorry to hear about your Lab. I have a 6 yr old black Lab and a 4 yr old yellow Lab. I lost my 3 yr old Yorkie/ Maltese Rusty on 9/19/11. He became sick just the day before and died suddenly. I was totally in shock.We still don't know what caused it. I still miss him so much and my heart is broken. I find myself looking for him often. I'll pick up one of his toys and feel like he should be running to it and tugging on it!

My heart aches for you. try to remeber all the good times and joy Blacky gave you.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Blacky. Sending hugs and prayers and hopes that your broken heart will heal and you'll be able to remember all the good times you and Blacky had together.

sorry for your loss. I lost my first fur baby before it was time, and it still haunts me to this day. may you find peace and comfort and may you be able to focus on the great 7 years you had. death sucks. and it is part of life. anyway, you are not alone and you have my sympathy.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know your heart is broken. Take one day at a time and try to find peace in the memories you have of Blacky. He sounded like a special friend. Rest in peace, Blacky.

so sorry! farewells are never easy and especially when they happen so suddenly! take one day at a time. find a special way to honor Blacky. that will help just a little!

I am so sorry for your loss. It is ok to come here to talk about your Blacky. We are all dog lovers and understand. Many of us have other dogs besides our Yorkies. We have a big black Lab named Lily she is my husbands baby. Prayers and hugs for you and your family.
