Our baby Krickett...i miss u

Our little guy lost his battle with a long illiness on June 7th. He was so brave, but his illness stronger. Every breath precious. But we made it to the vet; she was so kind and loving and told us the truth. He was ready to go. We saw it in his eyes. This house is so quiet without the tip tap of his little paws on the floor. Such an adjustment. But we know we will see him again. Because of our vet's excellent care and the love we gave him, he gave us the gift of being here longer. Love always Krickett, until we meet again. mom/dad

I'm so sorry for your loss of Krickett. It's never easy when one of our babies passes away.

RIP Sweet Krickett.

I have posted a card I made for our vet (Dr Jenny Newcomb/Rescued Hearts, Pekin IL). She is very special. She made a donation in Krickett's memory to S.A.F.E. (Saving Animals form Euthanasia). A great site. Please take a look. We also made a donation in memory of Krickett. Also, she enclosed the Rainbow Bridge poem and The Last Battle poem. Thank you for the responses, they mean more than you know. Krickett, mommy misses you so much ~

You did everything you could possibly do to help your baby, and I know you will always love him. Love lasts forever and so do the beautiful memories of him. I had two little girls with CT that caused enlarged hearts, one very serious, so I know how difficult it is to cope with. I'm very sorry for your loss of Krickett. He was an adorable little boy.

Teresa, Thank you for your kind words. My cards are therapy right now. I will have a talk with Krickett this evening and tell him that Noah wants to play with him and to tell him mama loves him always... I know he will. He was that kind of little boy.. such a good baby. The vet's office called today and told me Krickett's ashes were in. Naturally I lost it and cried. My, how we miss him. I know we will see him again, just hurts.

Give yourself time to feel and grieve. You have lost someone very dear to you. Krickett knows you love him and that love will live within your heart always. In time the happy memories will surpass the sad ones. Although there will always be pain living without my little girls, there is mostly overwhelming love and happiness because they were a part of my life. I'm sure it's the same for you with Krickett. I hope having his ashes comfort you some. My heart is heavy listening to your pain, but please trust me when I say it gets better in time.

I know this pain is new and will somehow subside in time; I had a little tabby cat for 16 years, and her passing was heavy; and I remember her with fondess and smiles now;... I know I will do the same with Krickett; the pain is raw now - this heartache will turn into smiles when I recall the memories. Funny how the slightest thing will turn into a memory.. like how he liked the convertable top down with the wind in his upturned little face. Even now he gives me joy among the saddness. So I know healing is in process and all is the way it is suppose to be. Thank you. This forum has been a blessing... xoxo:animal-pa
