Vicki I am so sorry. My heart breaks for you. You were such an amazing mommy to Annie. You gave her an amazing home for 10 1/2 years. She was blessed that you saved her, loved her, and will forever be in your heart. RIP Sweet Annie. Hugs to you Vicki.

Oh, no, Vicki. I am heartbroken to read this. But you did give her a wonderful life with you and bless her sweet heart, it sounds like she repaid you with so much love and sweetness and good memories. It sure does hurt to lose one of these babies on a holiday, doesn't it? It's awful anytime but on a holiday - somehow the two just don't mix - good times and everyone everywhere being so happy and full of fun and your own heart so heavy and filled with pain. I'm so sorry. Rest in peace, little Annie baby.

I know you miss your little girl. That and the pain never go away, but isn't it wonderful that our loved ones remain such a vibrant part of our heart, minds, and memories? Annie was so blessed to have found you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You never get over it, although the pain does ease in time. It took me years to talk about my 1st furbaby without crying. I made a memorial photo album, since I had him before digital photos and so had painfully few pictures to commerate the great 13 years we had with him after we rescued him from the pound at 9 weeks old. I still occasionally pull that out and look at his photos even though it has been 9 years and we have had our current furbaby for almost 4 years. My heart goes out to you.

Although Annie's life started out poorly, she was blessed to have been adopted by such loving parents. I am sorry for your loss............

Vicki, I have just looked at your tribute to Annie and I'm struck by not only the incredible success you had with her weight but you could see her personality emerge. That first photo showing those big sad eyes says it all. Later on the photos show a very confident happy little girl. she was so very lucky to have you. I am in tears thinking about what you are going through and I just want you to know how sorry I am for your loss.

I am bumping my thread once again.


It is now 4 years since I lost My Annie. New Years Eve is always hard on me now because of this.

I miss her just as much today as I did 4 yeras ago.

I know Annie and all of my Rainbow Bridge babies are running and playing together.

I too am so sorry that this day that is supposed to be "out with the old and in with the new" is so haunting for you. I pray that in time the joy that Annie brought to you and you to her will fill your heart and memory! You were a good mom. You rescued her! Never loose sight of that. She had a good life and bottom line that's all we can do for our babies is to make sure they have a good life!

I just saw this and wanted to add my condolences on the loss of your dear sweet Annie and of the loss of your other yorkie in October. I am so sorry. She knew she was loved and safe with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Annie four years ago. You lost a member of your family that day and is something you will never forget. You still have a deep love for your little girl and, for that reason, she will always be near you in your heart and thoughts. As time passes, I pray your memories of Annie will bring comfort.

I'm so glad you started this thread again, there are times that only YorkieTalk members can understand the grief that carries on and on because they really were a member of our family. Having them a long time like I did as well is wonderful but when they leave us, it's even harder.
