I just read your poem in another post and then found this one. I am so sorry that you lost your baby at such a young age. I know how heartbreaking it is, trying to save your baby but not be able to. Had a puppy in my Georgia and Chewy's 1st litter live 11 days and passed away when I was holding him. He had been struggling the last few days he was alive. It was really sad but I'm glad he passed in the arms of someone who loved him. I think it is really hard especially when one your dog has a pup and they pass. I know she is up there happy as can be, just waiting until the day you can join her :)

I hope you all are doing okay.
P.S. your poems were beautiful and made me cry! but a good cry.

thank you so much for the well wishes & to everyone else here too! i'm sorry you lost that little pup too. i'm sure in his short 11 days he was loved and cared for so much, and i'm sure he knew! it's definately hard to lose your baby's baby. we miss her so much & always will!

missing my sweet little angel nika on thanksgiving, and every day. i wish you were here, the pain just doesnt seem to get any easier.

It may not seem like it now, but the pain diminishes in time. There will always be days that are more difficult to cope with, and the pain never completely goes away, but I promise you that it will get better. Although not enough time has passed since I have lost Ashley, I know how I still feel after losing her sisters some time ago. What always remains is a feeling of overpowering love. Nika will always occupy a soft spot in your heart that is filled with a love that is overflowing and everlasting. She will forever be a part of you, and you will always have the sweet memories of the precious times that you shared with her. I hope Zowi and Pixie are helping to heal your broken heart. Please know that I care, and there are so many other people here who understand and care, as well.

you are such a sweet person. thank you for the beautiful posts! zowi and pixie do help, they dont want thier mommy upset and i am so lucky for every minute that i get to spend with them. they go everywhere i can possibly bring them. i cherish every moment and tell them every day how special they are to me, just like i did with nika. after her sudden passing i was so thankful that i did tell her those things every day. i know the overpowering love of my little baby girl nika will always always be in my mind and heart. its so different without her and very hard to deal with, as so many of you understand. thanks so much for your care and concern and to all the wonderful ty'ers that ive been so fortunate to have around! i appreciate it immensely! it means so much

I am sure you feel surrounded and protected by Nika's love, and I can tell what a profound impact she has had on your life and heart. Nika is such a beautiful little angel.

I am just now reading about your loss and am so sorry. I told myself I was going to read these memorials without crying, but I wanted to add my condolences. Your heartbreak opened the floodgate. I really empathize with you for your loss.
