OMG! This is so sad! Thank you for sharing a glimpse of what little Clarence was like. He reminds me of my Peek a Boo. Maybe Duncan needed his friend to be with him? So sad. My Heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, and my prayers.

Elizabeth...I am so sorry to hear of this tragic news. I send heartfelt sympathy and will pray for God to comfort you. Clarence was also my Dad's name.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words. Lisa painted a perfect picture of my little guy.
My heart is shattered, sleep didn't come easily last night everytime I closed my eyes the image of him floating in the pool was there. I did cpr on him for so long but I know he was gone when I jumped in the pool.
He's with my Mum now...Clarence was her little man first & they loved each other so much.
As much as I'm hurting I know Clarence is with his real mama.
His picture is my avatar....wasn't he adorable.
RIP my sweet little hedgehog....

I am just so heartbroken by this. Elizabeth, I am so sorry for your loss. Lisa, that was a lovely rememberance of sweet Clarence. RIP lttle one.

Sorry to read about Clarence's accident and going to the Rainbow Bridge.
I worry about Zipp b/c he has cateracts and does not see too well and almost
slipped into the pool yesterday. The other pups do look out for him and will raise a ruckus if he falls in.

It's one of the worst pains possible losing a beloved family member. I admire you for being able to express all his "quirky" behaviors in this sad time. Bless you for making his last years so wonderful.

Elizabeth...I can't help but to picture my own children in your position....and raising Sugar. I am 100% certain they love her as much as you love Clarence....so I am comforted by that!

I am soooo sorry for your loss. :( I am so saddened to read of it. Drowning takes far too many lives. My 5 year old brother died in 2006 due to a drowning accident at a public pool. We started a foundation in his honor (CONNOR CARES FOUNDATION; In Honor of Connor; Drowning Awareness) and I plan to add a little section about water safety for pets as well.

E....you will never forget Clarence but eventually the pain will ease and you will remember the good more often than the bad. He is having a party up there with your Mom, all your siblings and his animal buds ;)

That is a great idea Brit.....I think ppl tend to forget that animals are not "natural swimmers" in the sense that they can always sense danger and save themselves!

My heart is breaking for you. Clarence sounds like he was such a sweet and precious little boy, and it sounds like Duncan was a wonderful boy, too. I understand the pain you are feeling. That was six years ago, and their sister Ashley just joined them at the Rainbow Bridge two weeks ago. She would have been 17 on July 5. I am completely heartbroken.
