I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP dear, sweet Nico.

If at some point you want to share the rest of what happened in the interest of safety, we're here for you...and if you can't, that is absolutely understandable as well.

thank you all for your condolences. I did go look at another baby the other day...he wont be ready for another 4 weeks or so...but I just don't know yet. It may still be too soon. At times I can still hear Nico barking! But then again, I miss his pitter patter around the house. I know I can't replace him, but how long have you guys waited until you got another baby???

We waited just over three months to get Sophie after Baby died. It helped a lot and we have so much love for Sophie but will never forget Baby. It's a tribute to Baby that we wanted another little girl and Sophie has filled our hearts with joy!

You are the only one who can know what is right for you. When one of my precious dogs died last year, I started looking immediately for another, and put a deposit on a Yorkie within a few days (but had to wait 6 more weeks for her to come home). I have never regretted it, and if I we to be in that position again, I would do the same thing. I was still grieving, and suffering, but boy getting Tiki made my heart happy once again. It is not a replacement, but another little source of joy all of it's own.

I wish you much luck in filling the void you now feel.

This just broke my heart when I read it. I am truly sorry for your loss of Nico, and my thoughts and prayers are with you. May you be comforted in your time of loss.

Mamas was killed on aug. 22 of this year and i found her in the street, it broke my heart it was like losing my child. From experience i truly feel your grief and loss on yours passing. It has been four months and i still cry for her, i hear her bell ringing still. I got another puppy to bring some joy into my house and help the healing and this new pup will never replace her but boy she keeps us busy.:animal-pa We didn't wait at all we got her the next week and boy i don't know where i would be without my new puppy.
