Recent Loss, Grief stricken My sweet baby girl died in my arms last sunday morning. In looking for support I found this site. I am at a loss to describe my grief and seem to be "just going through the motions" at the moment. My Gertie was 14 and a diabetic and she suffered from seizures all night long until she died at 5:00 am. I don't know if it is wise to get a new Yorkie or wait a while, but I don't even like being at home right now. Thanks for giving me a forum of people that understand my grief. |
I am so sorry for your loss... My thoughts are with you. |
I am very very sorry for your loss and your pain. |
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. God bless you and heal your broken heart. |
I am so sorry you lost you sweet baby. They do dig into our hearts...don't they? |
So very sorry for your loss. Perhaps a new little one to love would help you with your grief. Just be open if an opportunity presents itself...that's how my Gracie Ruth came so quickly to me after Annie passed. I wasn't sure I wanted another so soon either, but all the pieces just fell into place and it was as though Annie knew I needed Gracie and sent her to me. Feel free to share stories about your sweet Gertie. I know it helped me to get over the pain and remember the good. :) |
So sorry flor yhour loss, I know how much that hurts. Some people need to wait and take their time to grieve. Other people get a new one right away. It all depends on the individual. For me the only way I stop crying is to start shopping for another one. It will take a while so by the time you find one you might be ready. |
I am so sorry for your loss. For me getting another baby to help heal my heart, provide some joy and keep you busy helps. Everyone is different, but if you feel the time is right to open your heart to another baby, then it is right. |
i am so sorry for your loss. |
I am so, so sorry! I lost my baby girl, Sunny, who was 13 years old. I was devastated. I waited about 7 months and got a new baby. In no way does Ginger replace my Sunny. They are 2 completely different dogs with completely different personalities. Looking back, I'm glad I got Ginger and think I probably should have done it sooner. The house was way too lonely. I wish you the best. Trust your heart. It will tell you when you are ready. |
I am so sorry for your loss. R.I.P. Ginger. Everyone is different. If you feel the need to get another do it. You won't be replaceing Ginger, that could never happen, you will helping your broken heart heal and Ginger would not want you to be sad or lonely. Good luck in your decision, |
I'm so sorry for your loss and RIP sweet little Gertie. I think everyone deals with the loss of a pet differently. I lost one the end of July last year and thought I never wanted to go through that pain again. The house was so quiet and lonely without Scooter that I started looking for another one about a month later. On Sept. 19th we brought Bailey home and what a joyful year it's been. |
I am so sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you. When the time is right, the right furbaby will come along to fill the hole in your soul.. Until then, grieve with all your heart and then let it go. She is being taken care of by a power far greater then you can ever imagine. |
Im so very sorry for your loss..R.I.P. Sweet babie  |
I am so sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a pet but when they have been with you for 14 years it really makes the loss hard to bear. I think it is good to get another soon, not right away, but soon. You have a big hole in your heart and although Gertie will always be there, there is room to love another in honor of her. I waited a short while after I lost my first yorkie. My husband actually wanted to get another almost right away, but I needed a little time to mourn. It is different for everyone. Just do it when you feel right. You will always miss your little girl, but having another to love helps a little too. Best wishes in your quest, don't hurry. You will know when and which one is just right. |
