In Loving Memory of Emma Becca lost her big sister today. After a long, brave fight, I lost my 14-year-old Maltese Emma to a brain tumor this morning. She hung in there for a long time. I wanted so badly for her to go peacefully in her own home but that wasn't meant to be. She was very bad this morning. Didn't stop crying. She was disoriented and, I'm afraid, in pain. The moment had come. I took her to the vet. Held her tight and gave her peace. I take comfort in knowing that she and Meckie are reuniting right now... I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. My heart is just breaking. I knew all of you would understand. |
I am terribly sorry for your loss. Remember she's a rainbow bridge now, whole once again and playing with new found friends. Hug your memories close. Hugs, |
I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious Emma. I am sure she is already playing at the bridge. RIP sweet girl. |
I am so sorry you lost Emma. I know too well the horrible emptiness and hurt that goes with losing one of your babies. Words don't help right now and all you can do is just grieve and try to some way move on. I remember when we lost Mandy to cancer. It will be a year in Nov. Time goes so fast, seems impossible it was that long. She suffered a siezure and when you see them so out of it and in pain it helps to know you helped them have peace. Again, I am soooo sorry. RIP little Emma. You were and are loved little angel. |
So very sorry for your loss. R.I.P Emma |
So very sorry for your loss....i can feel your pain in your words....but you did the best thing for your precious one and now you need to fill your heart with all your wonderful memories of her...God Bless...R.I.P. Emma |
I am so sorry for your loss of Emma. Maltese are very special little babies. I'm sure your Emma appreciates what you have done for her, although it was so hard on you, it was a release for her. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. |
I am so sorry for your loss. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have an almost 14 year old Maltese too, and I know how special they are. She had you for a family, so she lived a good life. She is no longer in pain and is playing with all the vigor of a puppy over the Rainbow bridge. Rest in Peace, Emma |
Oh honey, I am terribly sorry for your loss! |
You did what was right, and I'm sure that if she could, she'd thank you for helping her on her way and letting her go surrounded by love. |
Thank you all so much for your kind words and understanding. I know I can always count on my fellow YorkieTalkers to in good and the bad. I must tell you how amazing my little Yorkie, Becca, has been over the last couple of weeks. She took such good care of her sister. Becca is a doll. She is very smart, very loving but also a wee bit on the self-centered side. Usually, the world MUST revolve around her. When Emma got sick, Becca put her sister first and took a tremendous amount of responsibilty for her care. It was amazing to watch her. Emma was very disoriented. She roamed and got herself into all sorts of difficult places. Becca would lead her around, help her out of tough spots and if she couldn't do it herself, she'd come and get me. Other times, she would just sit with her or cuddle into her. She was remarkable. |
Knowing how painful it is too lose a beloved pet, I really offer my condolences. I know that Emma is now at the rainbow bridge pain free, romping around. Thank goodness you have Becca to help you through your greif. Remember, Becca is probably a little bewildered with the loss of her sister. My baby won't eat for about two days after my Max died. She needed time to process her loss. RIP Emma |
I'm so sorry fore your loss of Emma. You were such a good mom to let go at the right time. She knew she was loved when you held her. You and Becca will keep her memory alive as she plays at Rainbow Bridge. |
I am sure your heart is breaking. Blessings and hugs... |
