Our little Yorkie Alfie died suddenly and peacefully this morning. He has had a heart condition for several years and today his heart decided to give up. He was about 16+ years old and we rescued him about 3 years ago so we are pleased that we gave him a good few years of life.

So sorry to hear about poor little Alfie, I feel your pain having recently lost my little one too. How very kind of you to rescue an older dog and give it a great life to the end. Wishing you peace knowing Alfie was loved and is resting now with no pain. Only we feel sad now.

Rest in peace Alfie. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I know the feeling, but as someone else told me, Alfie is probably running around on the rainbow bridge will all of our dearly departed babies. I hope that brings you a little comfort.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. We buried the little guy this morning. Now our other Yorkie Sadie is upset and looking for him :( But time will heal all of us.

So sorry to hear about your little one. It is so refreshing with all the cruelty in the world to see someone take one in their senior years and love and give them a good home. God bless you for what you did for this baby. RIP little one.

My little guy Max passed away 8 days ago and my Yorkie and Cocker Spaniel still go looking for him a couple of time a day. I gave Misty, the Yorkie, Max's blanket and she spends a lot of time curled up in it. It still has Max's scent. I don't know how long pets greive, but I give them lots of love and cuddles.

God Bless you for taking and loving Alfie through the last years of his life. I know that he loved and appreciated you for doing so. I will never understand how someone can give up a family member that is 12-13 years old, but thank God someone like you was there to love him.

I met a lady in the vets office when I was losing my Golden, she brought in a little tiny poodle that she said was 15 years old to have it put down. When it was her turn, she walked over handed it to the tech and left, asked that they send her a bill. I try to put myself in her place, but I just cannot. What about the baby, would it not of wanted to be cradled in the arms of the person that cared for it all of those years? I requested that they come out to my truck and give Goldie her shot, as riding in the back seat of that truck is one place she was truly happy. I thank God there are loving pet owners in the world and I need this website right now.
