I miss my Cody so much

Cody was only 4 months old. He was 2lbs. He was so happy and playful.
On Monday night, April 27th, I was in the kitchen. I went to throw something in the garbage pail. I accidently stepped on Cody. I did not see or hear him. I am not sure what part of his body I stepped on. When I looked at him on the floor, he was not moving. He was bleeding. I yelled to my wife. We picked him up and drove to a 24 hour animal hospital. It was too late. He died in my wife's arms.

The whole family is so sick. I feel so guilty. This has been the worst week on my life. We all loved him. I know he loved us too.

Please be careful around your yorkie's. Please do not make the same horrible mistake that I did.

RIP Cody. I love you so much. You will always be in my heart.

Omg, that is so awful. :( I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Oh my gosh! I am so so very sorry for your loss. I am in tears right now.
I know words can not take the pain away, I am so at a loss. I just don't know what to say. I know your little one loved you as much as much as you loved him. What an adorable little guy!! I really wish there was something I could do or say to take the pain away. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Please take care.

I'm so sorry about Cody. I know it is impossible, but please try to stop beating yourself up. It was an accident. Cody knew you loved him and you can tell by his happy pictures that he was well cared for.

I'm glad you've found this board (although very sorry for the reason). This is a great place to vent your feelings and to get additional support. When the whole family is hurting, sometimes its hard to find a place to deal with your pain.

Cody is in a wonderful place. I'm sure he's met up with all of our lost babies by now and is running and playing.

I am so, so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how bad you must feel, but please don't be hard on yourself. Little yorkies just love to be underfoot, it was a sad sad accident. He sure loved you though, you can tell by the pictures of him.

Gary, I am so saddened to read of your loss. I know you are hurting and missing Cody so much. When it's time, I hope you find another Yorkie to "own" you...not to replace your love for Cody but rather because of your celebration of Cody's life and that unconditional love. God bless.

omg! this is so very sad R.I.P sweet cody im sure all the angels will be looking after you rite now..you will be loved just as much in heaven...as you were on earth..who couldnt love a little cutie like you?............x.ps daddy i know how you must be beating yourself up over this..but try not to feel giulty..sad as it is ..it was a freak accident..and thanku for making every1 else aware of just how easy it is for these things to occur! you and youre family are in my thoughts. sending a big hug your way...........x:(

I am so sorry to hear about your tragic loss of Cody. Try not ot blame yourself, it was an accident and only God knows why it happened.

I am so sorry for your loss Having just lost a baby due to an error on my part I want to share with you my perspective I feel that the babies we only get to love for a short time were ment to come into our lifes and share a life time of love is what seems like a few sweet moments. the love that is shared in that short time is perfect.

Awww I'm sooo sorry for your loss! I know exactly how you feel about your Cody cause I lost my Lilly not that long ago.. I found my Jaz, not to replace but to fill the void, hope you can do the same. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!
