For Those of You who have recently lost your Babies 2 Attachment(s) I lost my Smokey two weeks ago on Friday, so I know what you are going through. It is devastating. I found so much comfort here on this site, so I would first like to say to you, GRIEVE! as long and as hard as you need too. Don't let anyone tell you how you should grieve. Don't let anyone tell you how you should act, or what you should do. Take some time and remember your baby, before you decide what to do with it's tiny little body. Hold on to the wonderful memories and know that you gave love unconditionally. A wonderful book to read is Cold Noses at the Perly Gates, by Gary Kurz. It is a very comforting book, and it will help you to heal. Bless each of you and know as many on this site told me two weeks ago. You will never be forgotten and you will always hold your baby in your heart. The little body is gone, but all those wonderful memories that they gave you are present all around you. Get away by yourself and tell your baby what they meant to you, and how they changed your life. Come to this site and express your grief to those of us who understand your grief. We love you, I found that out. This family truly loves us, and we are here for you. Kita My Smokey will forever be near, and every time I think of some of the funny things he did, he still makes me smile. |
R.I.P little Smokey:( sorry for your loss:animal-pa |
R.I.P. Smokey I lost my yorkie Lacey this December. It's one of the hardest things that I've been through. My husband is in the army and is currently gone and I have pcos so we have been unable to have kids so far, so my dogs are my kids. They are my life. i don't know if i'm ever going to be able to recover from this. Ever night I kiss them (i have 2 more a bichon named Cracker and a maltese named Lilly) and tell them how much I love them and with Lacey I would hold her all night and wake up to her kisses. So now when I lay down to sleep all I can think about is how she's not here and I can't sleep that's why I'm posting this at 3:40 in the morning. I'm going to get the book and see if it helps. I've thought about getting another yorkie I know it wouldn't be her but I think it might would help. I'm trying to adopt one that was rescued from the puppy mill in MO. :aimeeyork Amber |
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my pom a month ago and received so much support here. Most people (non YT) said to me, I hope you aren't going to get another dog (I had 4). It really upset me as I can get as many as I want and I felt it was insensitive to what I was going through. I a going to look for that book you mentioned. Thanks |
