In memory of my sweet little Tyler 2 Attachment(s) I had my first baby yorkie for only 8 months. I was very close to him and on feb.3, 2005 he was hit by a car and didn't make it. I am still very upset and need some friends to talk about it. My son is also taking it very hard. When should I get a new puppy? I am not sure if we are ready. I really need some help since he was my first little boy. Monica from Indiana |
Sorry to hear of the loss of Tyler. I'm sure you gave him as much love as you could in the eight, short months you had him. May he rest in peace in Yorkie heaven. |
I'm so sorry to hear about Tyler. I'm sure you gave him a great 8 months of life and is looking down on you happy and thankful for that! I say give it a month or so and maybe start looking into breeders again for a new puppy. After you're done greiving it will be fun to look for a new puppy with your son hopefully. |
I am sorry for your loss of your little Tyler. It is never easy responding to posts like these and it seems there have been a few other posts as yours with others who are grieving too over their lost Yorkies. :( Take time to heal your heart and to comfort you son. You will know inside when it is the right time to bring another Yorkie into your family's home. This is a time for healing, not for jumping right into researching new breeders, etc. Keep the happy memories of Tyler close to your heart.... |
So sorry for your loss. I couldn't pretend to know how you and your son feel! I do know how devistated we were when we lost our poodle, Nicole. We had her for 13 years and I couldn't even think about another pet for over 6 years! So take your time and grieve for your little Tyler .. you will know when it is time for another! |
So very sorry to hear of your family's loss of Tyler. We grow so attached to these babies in such a short time. I cannot even begin to imagine your loss but hope you can find comfort in his memory. You will know when the time is right to get another puppy. Sometimes the puppy will just find you...you won't even be looking for one and...boom...there it will be. Funny how things work out that way sometimes. Will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers...Oscar sends "tisses"... |
I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. It's so hard, I know. Know there are people here who understand what you are going through. You and your family will be in our prayers. |

Gentle hugs coming your way. As others have stated, you'll know when it feels right to begin a search for a new puppy. And you and your son will enjoy the search together. |
