R.I.P Nutmeg we all love you 09/09/08
 

I am so sorry to post this but Nutmeg passed around 4pm today it was better for her that way. She went to the vet on Saturday and they gave her 2 different shots and she did good that night, she ate and drank and played and then last night she got bad again so this afternoon my dad and mom took her back to the vet and there was nothing they could do. They are getting her cremated and will have her back sometime next week. This is so hard, this was the first dog I ever had, we got her when I was 10 and she was only 11 years old. Thank you guys for all of your help and encouraging words but she is now waiting for us on the Rainbow Bridge:rain: this is so hard for me but hopefully it will get easier, one day we will meet again and cross rainbow bridge together

Losing a furbaby at any age brings so much pain into our hearts. Just know that Nutmeg will be running and playing with all of the other furbabies that crossed the Bridge before her. When the time comes, she'll be waiting for you. I'm so sorry. Hugs.

you guys are so amazing here with all of your encouraging words and so caring. Today was just as hard as yesterday, I'm trying to accept that she is waiting for me, it's a little easier to talk about but not much. The vet said her kidney levels should have been at 20 and they were at 170(not a typo). He said there was nothing they could do, they just started shutting down. My mom and I got her when I was 10 years old from a pet store, not knowing any better, but after we did the research you already have fallen in love and we just decided to take care of her. she had a great 11 years with us and we love and miss her dearly. We think she was from a puppy mill, we will never know for sure but she had a lot of problems even when she was a puppy. It just breaks my heart. We went there yesterday and I took my Jasmine (they were best friends) and Jasmine went into Nutmegs bed and cried for a few minutes like where is she and then she just slept there for prolly a good hour. It is so sad, Ive never lost an animal before, it's extremely hard to go through and not many people understand because they think it is just a dog, which they are not she is a part of my family. We are getting her cremated and we will have her back next week, it just sucks, I haven't felt this lonely in a very long time.:cry8: R.I.P. Baby we love and miss you dearly.
