Tragic loss and questions... My fiancee is currently staying with me in England and just received news from back home that her beloved Yorkie had died yesterday... she is devastated, she was so close to her dog and loved her so much. Neither of us can understand why this happened, it was sudden and unexpected and came with no symptoms, she was just found that way, has anyone else just lost their friend so suddenly? Did you find out the cause afterwards? She was treated earlier this year for suspected toxicity affecting the liver (after being mispronounced dead by the vet at one point) but has been absolutely fine ever since. Any information you can provide that I can pass on to my fiancee would of course be very much appreciated. Thanks, Rich :( |
I'm sorry that I have no information for you but I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your fiance's loss and my thoughts and prayers are with her. Lots of love xxx |
Im sorry I dont have any answers or reasons for you, but I just wanted to say that I am very sorry for you and your fiances loss. Hoepfully you will be able to get some answers from somebody. |
So sorry to hear about the loss your yorkie x Tracy |
My fiancee has asked me to pass on her thanks to those of you expressing their sympathy and I would like to add my own. Thankyou all! Rich |
I am so sorry for your fiancee. I can imagine how sad she is. My cousin just lost one suddenly also. He was just a year and a half. many people have autopsies done cause they need to know what happened. \May the Lord comfort you and your fiancee. |
I am so sorry for your loss. Without an autopsy it would be hard to tell. |
I am so sorry. How old was she? You say she had a bout with liver issues? I wonder if she had a liver shunt, and he body just couldn't fight the toxins anymore :( |
I am so sorry for her loss. Your fiancee can request a necropsy if she wants to know the cause of death. |

I am so sorry to hear this. Two weeks after i got Hershey I got another yorkie so that they could grow up together. His name was skittles. He was full of energy, had a great appetite, played all the time and had just had his first visit at the vet and looked great. We were playing in the floor and he ran away from me and started to run towards me, collapsed and died instantly. I immediatley grabbed him up and took him to the vet. No sign of injuries, my vet was so puzzled. He had been under supervision at all times. We just dont know what happened. Again I am sorry to hear this and I know the hurt that follows. Sorry |
My heart goes out to your fiancee. I now kidney failure can occur pretty quickly and be deadly. |
