so hard.... I went with my MIL to put her dog down a boxermix.. He was the sweetest dog they have ever had and now that was the single hardest thing I have done in a long time. to be there with her has they gave him the shot.. I hurt for her and we loved him sooo much . even my oldest who is six said a prayer for him when we buried him... and this is what he said.." Jesus let Rex wake up and play with us when we come see you up in heaven" out of the mouths of babes... I just wanted to share...thanks. |

I\'m so sorry :(:(:(.....i know what you mean about it being one of the hardest things to go thru...the guilt and sadness just sweep over you even when it\'s something that really needs to happen :( ...then comes the \'missing them\' part....I\'m so sorry for your family that was really touching what your son said...we can only hope right ? |
im so sorry for the loss of Rex. those boxer mixes are some of the sweetest, arent they? i had a dalmatian/boxer and she was my best friend/soul mate for 7 years. He is pain free and happy now, watching over you all! I find that children see things in a very untainted, honest and beautiful way of seeing things. His little prayer was beautiful!! |
Losing a pet is truly one of the hardest things... I remember when I had to put my sheltie down about 4 years ago. My mom came with me and we both held him as they gave him the shot... The girl working was surprised that I wanted to be in there with him since I was balling ans sobbing so much - but he was my baby and I wasn\'t about to let him go through that alone! I still cry about it to this day, and have tears streaming down my face as I type this... Maybe it\'s because I\'ve lost both my best friend of 14 years and my mom last year... Life can be great sometimes, but it can also be so hard. |
RIP Rex |
What a sweet prayer. R.I.P. Rex |
