My Baby Scoobydo died One month today January 17th
 
I lost my little darling Scooby exactly one month as of today February 17th, all day I have been thinking of him and praying for his little soul to rest in peace, it is funny how time flies but the pain do not.

RIP my little angel:( mommy and daddy and bandit loves you and misses you terribly:(

Thanks Coby, I am not discussing with my husband who is opposed to it, but I feel I want to rename Bijou and call him Scooby, is this bad?:(

One could say that each dog is individual and deserves a unique name. To me, I think that's a real personal decision. I know that my mom's dog is named after our original Shelly, the best little dog we ever had. It it brings you comfort, I see nothing wrong with it. There are lots of people who name their dog Rex2 or Jake II.

Part of me feel that if I rename him Scoobydo that my original scooby will always be alive in some respect. Also, from the minute I called the name scoobydo you should SEE bandit how he lit up and ran very fast to the crate, he does not do this for hte name Bijou but when I said where is scooby he ran like mad to the crate and actually acknowledged the new dog with that name, so I am confused, hubby is against it...the other part is this, I call the new dog scooby often by mistake:(

When I was a kid, we had 2 hamsters. One was Speedy, and one was Speed. One passed away, but we didn't know which was which. So we called the remaining "Speedy-Speed".

I personally would not rename your other puppy. However, if it feels right to you .... who is anyone to say otherwise!?

I'm so sorry you are still hurting so much. My MIL lost her standard poodle, SnowBear, to cancer when he was only about 3 or 4. She and my dad got a beautiful Samoyed from the shelter named SnowBall. They changed it to SnowBear because they missed the first one so much. It seemed perfectly natural. I see nothing wrong with honoring your little lost soul by renaming your baby after him. If it makes you feel closer, then do it. Sleep peacefully, little one.

I wish there was a magic answer to help with the pain of losing Scoobydo, but it is time. Time does not eliminate the ache but it does lessen. After 13 years with my beloved Sophie, I was heartbroken and thought nothing could replace the love we shared; then, Charlie came into my life through United Yorkie Rescue. Kismet Warmly, Deborah

PS Scoobydo is with Sophie and all of the other beloved animals, snuggling together.

Why would you want to rename the dog?

You seem to make threads regarding your anger and lack of management.

Before renaming your Pomeranian, perhaps you need to seek therapy about anger management and rehome him for his sake.

Otherwise, I am speechless.
