that's so wonderful that you are adopting a new little girl. its hard when one loses a pet, especially when its so sudden. You heart just empties and its so hard to fill it again. But i think this little girl will help a lot. good luck with her.

That is GREAT news! We were the same, couldn't live without a dog so we got Bear shortly after we lost Fee-Fee... Some ppl thought it was too soon but they just don't understand... It's not that we don't love Fee-Fee anymore, but not having him around was just so hard...

I've been following this thread after posting just to make sure that you're doing okay. I'll bet Max is wagging his little tail so excited about his new little sister. Thanks for sharing! Are you working the "perfect" name for this little doll?

I'm so very sorry about Max. That was heartbreaking to read. A similar thing happened to one of my neighbors when she took one of her yorkie's out the front door instead of the back yard which was fenced.

I'm glad to see you will be getting another yorkie. She will surely help your heart to heal. Take care...

I just wanted to let all the wonderful people know my husband and I welcomed Abbigail Grace into our hearts and home yesterday. I will always miss my Max, but can't imagine my life without another furbaby in it. Here are some pictures.

I experienced this too, and yes a new furbaby helps heal the ache by keeping you pre-occupied. She is adorable!

Jackie~ I just saw this thread and I'm so so sorry about your Max! I have a Max too, and it made me stop and think about a few things b/c we've got coyotes here too. They don't normally come around neighborhoods (unless there's been a drought like we've had the last couple of years:( ), but when you live where they do, you never know ......we've got lots of little bunnies that are around the house esp. in the evenings and nighttime and I would imagine that's one of their main sources of food here, so it wouldn't be IMPOSSIBLE for a coyote to be in my yard. And when I think of how I leave the house when I'm going to walk Max, I usually just put him on the floor on his leash and open up the door. So I am very thankful to you for posting this, as awful as it had to have been for you. From now on, I will hang onto him until I've opened up the door and checked first. I know that a puppy was snatched out of his collar (not harness) and leash nearby, so I try to be aware of anything moving anywhere around us when we walk.

On the other hand; Congratulations on your baby Abbigail Rose...she's so adorable and so cute in her little pink sweater! I'm glad you've got someone to help focus your attention somewhere else!
