For those who have lost a beloved pet I can't quit thinking about Figment713, Ladyofyorkies, and Bkessler. I know you are going through such a painful time right now. I don't know how to help ease your pain, but this is my attempt. I have found a few websites and poems that might help, or might now. I hope this does not make things harder. Information on Guilt of a lost pet Phone support for pet loss grieving Poems and stories Pet loss Website My Prayer For Those Who Grieve I asked the Lord to bless you As I prayed for you today To guide you and protect you As you go along your way.... His love is always with you His promises are true, And when we give Him all our cares You know He will see us through So when the road you're traveling on Seems difficult at best Just remember I'm here praying And God will do the rest. http://vabutter.tripod.com/rainbowbridge/ I Loved You Best So this is where we part, My Friend, and you'll run on, around the bend, gone from sight, but not from mind, new pleasures there you'll surely find. I will go on, I'll find the strength, life measures quality, not its length. One long embrace before you leave, share one last look, before I grieve. There are others, that much is true, but they be they, and they aren't you. And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought, will remember well all you've taught. Your place I'll hold, you will be missed, the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed. And as you journey to your final rest, take with you this...I loved you best. http://vabutter.tripod.com/rainbowbridge/ Again, this post goes out to everyone at Yorkietalk because I know we are all feeling the pain, however, special thoughts to the three members who have lost their babies, and their families. :rose: :fallen: |
OK, the one I Loved You Best has me in tears! This has been such an emotional day. I was doing really well and could think about Bandit without crying. Then today, reading all of the things on here, well, I've been blubbering! That poem really touched my heart. Bandit died May 11th and even though we have Tucker and I love him with all of my heart, I still miss my little Bandie. Thanks for posting the poem. |

Thank you for these links |
Thank you for posting that, the poems were so touching, you can't help but cry when you read them, but tears are only drops of love. The guilt I had after Sophie passed was enormous, so many 'if onlys' and the link on guilt really helped me. I have Lida now but I still cry for Sophie and that's ok, I think I will always cry for her because I will always love her. Windy and Lida Rose |

I am glad this has helped, I know the grieving process is long and painful! |
I loved you best! |
 I just read those poems and the second one made me cry. It was so sweet of you to post those. |
That was so nice of you to post those - I can't hardly read it but it was nice.... |
This is the first time I've come here. I can't read the poems or anything that might bring on the tears. I can't stand it. It was my fault for not going looking for Matty when I first missed her. If I had she wouldn't have died then. If it was her time, something might have happened later. But it was my carelessness that caused her death at that time. I don't know if fate works the same way with animals as it does with humans. They don't think and plan for tomorrow. I feel guilty enough without thinking that her life would have done something special for someone. Other than love, I mean. |
Lady Of Yorkies, I think that God has a plan for everyone and everything...people and animals. I can only imagine how hard it must be, but please remember that blaming yourself will not make anything better. Forgiving yourself is the first step to recovering. You are still in my thoughts and prayers. Mindy |
