St. Louis Area???? Is anyone from the st. louis area?? I live in Alton IL but work in St. charles MO. I would love to talk with anyone from the area, or even better, meet up for a playdate! |
RE:yorkie St Louis Area Hi, I live in House Springs. I am just getting into breeding Yorkies I have a male,Chigger & 2females, Taffy & Cricket. Taffy just had her 1st litter. not a big sucess. She Had to have a Csection for an undelivered pup. She had 3 others, but for som reason not the last. The smallest of the 3 died @ about a week. The other 2 a 4 weeks & doing pretty well. simplyclh |
Oh, I hope the two left do okay!! Thanks for writing back. We got my little Tobey from a woman who lived in south county, sounds like you- she owned 3 yorkies, 2 females and a male, and then a female maltese. she had a litter of yorkies and "morkies" in december, that's how we got Tobey. So far he's been perfect! He will be 5 months old May 4th. I am a first time pet owner and can't imagine ever owning any other kind of dog now that I have had tobey. I am already trying to convince my husband to get another one so tobey can have a brother or sister to play with. We really liked the lady we got Tobey from because she wasn't a big breeder, and the pups were raised in a playpen in her house. It was clear they got lots of attention and socialization since her grandaughters were over visiting when we came by. All good signs! anyway, good luck with the breeding, if we decide we want another pup, i will have to contact you! |

I am not from the St. Louis area, but will be there (Purina Farms) towards the end of June for a dog show. Would love to meet other YT members! |
I am not from St. Louis... I reside in Scott City, MO (near Cape Girardeau)... about 2 hours south of St. Louis. If anyone is interested in a male yorkie pup... please view my website.... reasonably priced (PM me for info). www.freewebs.com/gurleysyorkies kathy785 - Where exactly in St. Louis is Purina Farms??? |
Purina Farms is West of St. Louis. They have nice outdoor dog show facilities. Did not get to look at the other displays when I was there last fall. Here is a link to their web site. http://events.purina.com/dogs/farms/VisitorsCenter.aspx |
H Sorry it took me so long. When are you coming to St Louis. I live about 25 minuets from Purina Farms. Its not far from 6 flags I am a new hobby breeder & right now i have an 18 month old male, Chigger & a 1 year old female, Cricket who has 2 4week old pups. Long story, got to control Chigger better. We had another 1 year old,Taffy, who also had pups. She had complications & had to have a C section , so i had her spayed. She had 3 live pups, 1 that didn't come out. We lost the smallest pup. So I had to sell her to help pay her medical bills. We sold her & the last pup Sunday. VERY HARD TO DO.I saw your website What cute dogs.:aimeeyork |
We live in IL and I am 2 hrs from St. Louis, MO. We take my DD to the Children's Hospital in St. Louis. We will be there next summer for a checkup. |

I live in Nashville, IL its about an hour from STL! anyone near me? |
.. yes we live in STL |
Hi guys!! ace611- I know where Nashville is because my husband and I drive through there to get down to Carbondale where he has family and friends. lil-rocky- where in the city do you live? We used to live in the city and I miss it SOO much. We used to live on Chippewa right by Ted Drewes in St. Louis Hills. My little Tobey is now almost 11 months old. I also worry that he is lonely sometimes. But we'd have to save up for another pup, and be ready for a lot of work at first (training and stuff). Tobey is the best dog in the world!! But I had to work really really hard when we first got him on potty training and obedience training. As you can see from his picture, he has a little Cardinals bandana on because my husband is a HUGE Cardinals fan :) Anyway, it would be good to keep in touch because I know we have a hard time finding good people to watch Tobey when we go out of town, and I would be happy to offer to watch anyone's yorkie anytime, free of charge. I think it is good for Tobey to get to be around other dogs-especially other Yorkies! I've met another Yorkietalk person- Tricia who lives in Edwardsville. She is a breeder and has 8 yorkies. Tobey went over there last week for the day- it was like going to day camp for him! he loved it:p I don't have any kids (I am 27) so Tobey is my baby for now:) |

we live off Chippewa and Hampton by the new Target, close to where you lived. yes we love the city, and the Willmore (hampton and jamieson) park just opened a dog park. we havent gone yet but the other day we passed by it was just larger dogs no yorkies. im 20 years old and i dont have any children either so rocky is my little baby, and hes spolied rotten! :) rocky hasnt been around any yorkies yet (hes 5 months old) i cant wait to see how he would act. |
