My Aunt lives about 40 minutes from Wichita and we visit often. She has a farm:) The business that they own is in Wichita:)

I was born in Kansas, but live in Texas now. I always tell people Toto and I came down on a Greyhound! Actually, neither of my babies are named Toto, it's just a spoof.

My Dad is from Greensburg and my Mom was from Kinsley. My grandmother and great-aunt lived in Pratt before they passed away and my Uncle still lives there. I've thought about moving to Kansas several times over the years, just to get away from the hustle-bustle of the big city (Houston).

It's a great place to be from!

I grew up and lived in the Wichita area until a couple of years ago when I moved to Oklahoma. My sister lives in Andover and my mom lives in Kechi. My Dad lives in ElDorado. I have lots of other family memebers still in Ks.:)

I live in Pittsburg to go to school but I am from south of Wichita. Not to far from Lucky's mom.

I grew up and lived in Wichita for 20 years and now live 85 miles northeast of it. Great city - I still love to go to Towne East and some of the wonderful restaurants!

My mom was from Kinsley and my dad is from Greensburg, the town that got blown away not long ago. They were there last week and were devastated at what they saw. We all loved to go to the pharmacy when we'd visit because they still had the old-fashioned soda fountain. It's gone, along with the Big Well attraction and dad's high school. My uncle lives about four miles out of town and they were not affected, but I guess the town is still under marshall law and you have to have a pass to get into town. All of my dad's cousins are okay; some lost everything, others fared well. Keep prayers up for that community. It is the county seat, so they will rebuild, but a lot of people have already bought in Pratt, according to my dad. I've thought several times about moving back, just to get out of the hectic city life. And now, with hurricane season upon us, it sounds even better!

aww i know that must have been hard to see their hometown gone...but kansas is a great place to settle down...ekke
