A play date never did get set. If the others are like myself, there is not much going on the regional forum, so I don't visit a lot. Springfield does have the Cruse dog park now. There are fees associated with it, (maybe membership dues) I have never been, as it is on the other side of town. Sequiota is also a possibility, but dogs can not be off leash there. It would be great if we could all get together though. We went to arf fest this year, and some friends with yorkies met us there. Of course we ran into other yorkies, and we were all standing around talking together. We were asked if we were a yorkie group. LOL There were 6 yorkies in total. Of course Preston was the biggest at 14 lbs, and Paisley was the smallest at 3.5 at the time. She would not be smallest now though. It was fun. |
Hi, all -- Missed this post the first time around. Please let us know if you get something going! |
Springfield area Hello fellow yorkie lovers. I'm kinda new to posting, but not new to yorkies. I think a yorkie get together would be awesome! Count me in! |
Hello everyone! I would be willing to have a yorkie get together at my house! My backyard is not huge, but big enough for a bunch of off leash yorkies to have a blast together. I live in SE Springfield, just off Republic and Glenstone. What does everyone think? |

McAllister's sounds good to me. I know the Panera on Battlefield will let you bring dogs to their outside tables also. Some friends from St. Louis came down with their yorkies to meet us one time, and we all met there. |
I found a puppy bingo game online that you just print out. I would bring that if everyone wanted to play? Any ideas when we can all get together? |
Well I do work Mon-Fri 8-5 or 5:30, whenever I can get out of there. Weekends are usually good, or after 6 on a week night. I am usually fairly flexible until school starts, then the Kilties take over. LOL |
Oh good, I am glad that you found the Bingo game! :) I won't be able to meet up for awhile....Livi is due with her first litter next week. I will be home-bound for awhile to take care of her and her puppies. I do think it sounds like fun, though! By the way, Kilties...like as in highschool Kilties?? Am I going to be the grandma of the "meet-up" group? :p (I am in my 30's). Tammy |
Yes Kilties as in high school kilties. I am a proud member of the Kiltie PARENT club. LOL My youngest daughter turned 16 in March, oldest is 21. I just turned 40, but don't tell anyone. LOL like no one else will see this. |

And my sister was a kiltie at Central. she is 28 now so that was awhile ago. |
No Way! Even if I were in high school, I don't know that I would be a Kiltie. Those girls work way too hard! No way would I want to get to practice at 6am year round, and wearing wool in the summer? Count me out! It is really a great thing. Teaches them to work hard, stick with something, responsibilty, respect, etc.... |
