Hello from Wisconsin Hi, I'm not a Yorkie owner. But I am a grandma to a Yorkie. My daughter has a wonderful little gal named Maggie. Mags is a playmate to my TFT. About every 6 weeks I get Mags for an overnight so that the two can play, wrestle and cuddle. They get along so great because they are similar in size and temperment. I would love to chat with anyone who likes Yorkies or dogs in general. I am a mother of two; step-mother of 4; grandma to 3 kids and 3 dogs; step-grandma to 7 kids and 4 dogs. I love in a small town, population less than 1,000, but work in Madison. Anyone want to chat?? |
Welcome!!! I live in Northern Illinois and have 2 Yorkies, 1 pom and a son and a dtr. You will love this site and may have to get your very own Yorkie!!! |
Susie, (Tink'sMom) lives near you... hopefully she will see this thread but if not then PM her, she is lovely. :D |
Hi Sue Alt. I hardly ever go on this part of the forum. I forget about it. I live in Madison and have a YorkiePoo who will be 1 yr on the 11 of Sept. She's a wild child and only settles down when she's sleeping. I'm thinking of putting her into doggie day care once in a while to help her get some exercize and socialize a little more. She loves everyone and all dogs but she knows no fear. I call her my little "Tinkerbrat". Where near Madison do you live? I'm on the east side. |

I actually live about 45 miles west of Madison. I live in Lone Rock. I went all thru school in Madison tho and lived on the far east side during those years. I started a new job in Madison today. I'm at Dean Clinic West. I don't have a Yorkie (at least not full time). I have a grand-dog who is a wild child of a Yorkie. Maggie is so lovable tho. I have her spend the night about every 6 weeks. Maggie and my TFT get along really well and play together, sleep together, but don't ask them to share a food dish. |

That's my little Sophie. She's a Toy Fox Terrier. I adopted her 3 yrs ago from a rescue group. About 18mo ago, she broke her right front leg. She jumped to the back of a chair (did it hundreds of times before) and went right over the top. Long story short, she developed an infection in the bone and had to have the leg amputated. Maggie (DD's yorkie) has grown up around Sophie and she plays very gently with her. Maggie is 2 yrs old. |

Wow, your little TFT sound like Tink. Tink is always scaring me to pieces jumping off the back of my chair. I hope she won't break anything cause I can't stop her from doing it. She had to have her right hip bone removed this summer - Legg Perthes disease and then in July she got histoplasmosis. So, she can't be sick anymore for the rest of her life! :D |
Looking for a tea-cup Yorkie in Wisconsin Hello, we are looking for a tea-cup yorkie breeder in Wisconsin, Illinois area. We would LOVE to bring one into our family. Anyone know any? Thank you Renee |
Well, don't know that you'll get too many good posts about teacups. Most realiable breeders don't care to discuss the popularity of the tinies because there are so many issues - both health and disposition - with them. My understanding is that you need to be a really committed owner to take care of one properly. Hopefully someone who is in the know will post something helpful for you.:) |
