Michigan Bark in the Park Bark in the Park is being held on August 11 and 12, 2007 at Stony creek Metro Park. All dogs are welcome and must be on a leash. There are contests, vendors and puppy play area. It goes from 10am-4pm. |
Oh good!! We went last year and it was fun, hot but fun.and we didn't have Bentley yet. so can'twait to take him this time. MAYBE we all could meet up there at a certain time.???:) :) |
Mickeyb, what was it like? Is it just walking around to different vendors or is it actually entertaining? We are going on Sunday the 12th. |
Alot of walking around,vendors they have pet adoptions,they had a couple of demonstrations-the obstacle course-don't know the real name! and the big pool that the dogs jump across to see who jumps the farthest.and they have the lake there,so lots of dogs in the water.playing.I remember seeing a couple of Yorkies in the water with all the big dogs having fun ! We will probably be there on Sunday also.:aimeeyork |

There was a big ad in Sundays papers.about it .free admission,parking $4.00 for more info DougFM.com or 963WDVD.com.We will be there when they open at 10:00.I will be there with Bentley and my husband Mike. Am I the only one that went?:( We were there at 10:00 till about noon.We got lots of free samples and goodies! Bentley saw the water and made a run for it!! he jumped right in and started swimming. He looked like a wet rat lol.I then put a t shirt on him-I poop,U scoop.-We saw a few Yorkies there and I think we went up & talked to all them! Iv'e never seen so many BIG dogs in my life.We had fun and will go again next year.Did anyone else go??? |
Ellie was there.:) She had a pink harness and leash. We would go again too. I remember a Yorkie named Bentley. Was there a man with you? |

We stood by the water for a few minutes. I wouldn't let Ellie down by it cause I am not much for dirty dogs.:p We didn't get our pictures taken at all but we did get free guacamole (sp?) and chips.:) |
Hi Crystal,Bentley had never been near a lake before,so we wanted to see his reaction.he would not go back in later! & yes he had to have a bath when he got home.don't like that wet dog smell:eek: either. |
