Hello,

I might have to take Royce to Purdue University vet School for a special procedure .
How far is Purdue from Indianapolis ?
Did anyone of you take his yorkie to Purdue vet school?

Purdue is about 1 and 1/2 hours north of Indianapolis. They are really good there. You can take Hwy 421 (St. Rd 29) to St. Road 26 and then left to Lafayette, or take 65 north to Lafayette.

There is another place in Indianapolis that is suppose to specialize in small breeds, I've been blessed not to need them. Here is the information:

Ft. Harrison Veterinarians

Thank you for the information . I have to take Royce to Purdue vet school for a lithotripsy ( removing kidney stones by shock waves ) and this procedure is done only there .
Is Purdue a small town? Do you think it s easy to find accomodation ?

No, Lafayette is not small at all. It is smaller than Indianapolis, but not small. It is pretty much combined with West Lafayette. Their Vet school at Purdue is one of the best. There are plenty of hotels and motels to stay at. I would just check on line, or give Purdue a call. They are really good at helping.

I'm checking the online site for Lafayette, lots of hotels I hope I will find one that allows pets

Im sorry to hear about your little one! :(
Lafayette is about a 1 1/2 away from me if you cant find any place that will let your baby stay with you.
you are welcome to stay with us. :)
(As long as you don't mind a 1/2 dozen kids and all my furballs!) :eek:
I live in Illinois but am right on the border of Indiana. My frontage road leads right to 65 that will take you straight to Lafayette.

Thank you ...I still didnt get a confirmation from Purdue if Royce is a good candidate for lithotripsy or not ....

Thanks for the info . Royce is doing great I'm waiting to do his check up in May and the my vet willl decide if it's necessary to send him to Purdue or not . also waiting for a call from the vet @ Purdue as I already sent Royce's file and Dr. Adams will contact me to discuss Royce's case as well
