:aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork Same here, see you Saturday!:) |
Hello Everyone, SOON the pictures taken will be on the site (all 3 sites) I want to thank everyone for coming, I enjoyed myself so much and I hope everyone did too. Thanks to our "auctioneer" we all had a fun time. Jodie has been behind the scene since the beginning and never ran out of energy (or IF she did, she forgot to tell me:D )I want to personally thank Jodie for doing so much to make this party a success. I also want to thank everyone for coming and for participating in the parade on behalf of my Seniors, my phone has not stopped ringing! We did not see all of them watching us, but they were seeing, watching and enjoying us. The joy and fun in a Senior's life can be very rare and I thank you for bringing sunshine into their cold dreary day. I know they will be taking about us during their social hour in the buildings for a long time to come. Many of my Seniors forget their social skills and can not remember how to participate in conversation, well, I will say this will not be the case this year. I am absolutely certain we will be the topic of their Christmas conversation at their families dinner tables this year!:) For those of you who could not come, Please mark your calendars for next year. This WAS our 1st ANNUAL Yorkie Christmas Party, with hopes of many more to come. Good night:eek: 3:30AM |
Thank you to both Jodie AND Pattie. You were both so very kind and sincere. Not only is the Yorkie breed unique, but the type of individual that owns one too. What a wonderful group of people. The parade to see the seniors, or at least to be seen by them, was a wonderful idea. Sorry we had to rush out so quickly, we would have loved to have stayed longer. Can't wait to see everyone again. Happy holidays to all. I will try to post some pics later too. |

I also was pleasantly surprised to meet all the lovely people attending. Some I knew, some I just met. I think you hit the nail on the head by saying "individuals that own Yorkies are a unique breed" I can't wait to tell my Mom I am a breed!:D (she divorced and remarried, I know what she'll say-I always knew your father was a dog!) I had a blast, my only regret was that I did not have any time to sit and socialize. Can you tell I love to talk and socialize?:p , My Girls are all so exhausted, I got up and they refused to, even after I threatened to fold them up in the bed! The baby was so exhausted from being held and passed around, she slept thru the night! OK everyone, come back again late this afternoon and let's do that again!;) I did get a full night sleep, something I never seem to get. When we show up in the local paper, I will be sure to buy many copies, I also forgot to have the correct spelling of everyone's names on paper, it was suggested I pass around a sheet, and I did not because  , I think I forgot:eek: , If everyone that attended can PM me their spelling, where you drove from and Babies name I will make sure I get it to the paper guy who will be coming by this week to pick up some other info. Jodie, I also need Keith's last name and how many packages he did, with how many babies in each. Thanks (you thought your work was done eh) Thanks to everyone for the dishes to pass and Thanks again to you Sheryl for the thoughtful gift, I already have the girls pictures on the stand. The candle left under the little tree. And thanks to Debbie and her family and Dear Abby for my Gingerbread house, and I will lecture you on the other! , Tell Jeter his mommy was a bad bad girl! and to Jodie for the gift of the special dish of goodies, the girls has one to share for breakfast, it must taste good cause it went faster then fast. and of course the beautiful nighties you made for ALL 3 of my Girls:) , didn't they look darling! I don't want to pack away the dish, Starr can sleep in it! and Patti and Jack, I absolutely loved Starr's stocking, I just love little girl stuff, she was fighting me over it, I WANT it on the little tree hanging, she has other ideas. Was this a congratulations gift for Starr or me? my nakme is on it so who wins? :p Thanks to everyone for my night. It was so special, I think to myself after every get together, "The Babies must know they are related, they never argue and get along so well. I think we are all related as well, I won't get home to NY this holiday season, but I feel as tho I was with family yesterday and I thank you all for that:) |
Sheryl, Karla and Debbie - it was so great to get to meet some more YTers as well as have another meet-up with folks I've met before. In total, there were 21 humans and 23 pups at the meet-up!! It was such good fun. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. A special "thank you" to Pattie for hosting the gathering. With Sheryl (Jeter) , Karla (Izzy), Goldie (Brett), Lori (Maggie), Pattie (Chloe, Sissy and Starr) and myself (Sissy) all living within a few miles of each others - we should plan monthly get togethers for a puppy play group and get to know each other better too!!! Can't wait for Springtime so the pups can run wild through the yards!!! I'm looking forward for photos to be posted soon. I never got the chance to pull out my camera :( |
Thats for a great meet up you guys! I had fun!!!! What newspaper is the pics sposta be in? |

Hey Dorkie Friend Debbie, Sounds like little Miss Abby had a good time. I am so happy about that. You got my ornament and I got your BabyGift! I just love the coat on Chloe!!!! and all the other goodies too. You know whenever you are in the mood, just say the word, no need to wait for spring!:p I'm game anytime as is Jodie & I hear a few others. I have a funny story to share. 3 of my neighbors stopped by at different times today wondering IF I was back in the hospital. When I asked them why they said" Different people came by all day yesterday to take care of your dogs, we wondered why they were out in the yard so often and why you had so many different people taking care of them" lol AND I usually only take them out back once a day since all mine are on wee wee pads! At least I know my neighbors love me too:p |
Hello everyone, I just wanted to thank Pattie and Jodie for welcoming me and Izzy on Saturday. We had a great time. I never thought in a million years I would be going to a Yorkie party! Who would have thought?? Im glad I came. I loved watching all of the dogs run around playing, they were so cute! I really enjoyed walking to the Senior's building...although Izzy didnt enjoy it so much because it was too cold for him! :( That was really heartwarming, Im sure they enjoyed seeing all of us too. I think Izzy really enjoyed Star. He sat on that little couch in front of her cage and just watched her like he was so amazed! It was soooo cute! I think he had his first crush! I would love to get together again, just let me know when and where!:) :) |

It was great meeting you too. Your baby is sooo sweet. It is so nice to have faces with the messages now. We will definitely have to get together sooner than the spring. Jeter can't wait for Izzy to get a little bigger. Jeter has eyes for Starr too, she is adorable. Nothing like a little competition for her affection. Take care and see you soon. |

Hey Karla, ready or not I AM!:p and Jodie always is!!! Just set it up with odie, I can arrange my schedule when you guys are ready........... My girls just love to play anytime, I am so happy that you enjoyed yourself. And honored that Izzy has a crush on Starr;) BUT he never got to see how bossy she is  Right now as I type she has Chloe & Sissy running for their life up on furniture cause she can't get them there! cute??? or scarey?? I am not sure which. |

Jodie & I will have a bunch more pictures but we need to wait till the photographer sends them to us. I have a few good shots in my camera but I can't seem to get them out of it! I also have pictures of the November get together in there too. I am so computer dumb, sending in a post is about all I can do by myself:eek: Besides co-host a Yorkie Party:p Soon tho, we plan to have a ton of pictures up and running, Jodie will have to post mine for me "Hear me Jodie ha ha" I am so sorry you could not make it also. The girls looked great in their dresses, however, Starr could not go on the walk to parade in front of the Senior buildings. She is only 11 weeks and way too young and small (1 lb 3 oz) and only on her 2nd set of baby shots altho I did get her bordetella early because fo this meet-up. I was afraid to chance it. Sissy got out of her harness one block into the walk so she got carried and Chloe walked all the way until my leash broke one block from my house on the way home! Next year, harness dresses, new leash, no problems! So since you missed this, plan on the Yorkie Fair in spring, we will all be together there once again, and probably a few more times before then............. Missed you sweetie. Can't wait to send you the pictures of the 3 girls in their dresses at the house (soon, soon soon) |

actually there are 4, there is this one (Yorkie Talk USA) then here at YT, there is also one - put Yorkie Christmas Party in the search engine-it will take you there, that is where most YTer's signed up with Jodie, then there is the Yorkie Times.com (another forum) and of course the Yahoo Yorkie Group site where we all talk (most members there are from Flushing or St Johns, michigan) I have pictures on my camera from the Nov get together and a few from the Christmas party (I don't know how to get them off and on here, I have to wait for Kay or Jodie to help me) the huge amount of photos from the photographer Jodie and I are still waiting for. Soon I hope bye for now |

I see LizaLaBoo answered your question.... guess I am slowing up this year! See you there |
Full Page Newspaper in People section ANYONE wanting a copy should e-mail me with their address unless there is a way I can get it on here. The building maintenace guys are helping me get many copies. I have started collecting copies so everyone can have one. Goldie, Loreen, Patti's ARM & I were pictured with 2 of the Seniors as well as the parade. The parade shows, Patti leading it and waving to people passing by, I can see Loreen ( I hope I am spelling it right, the paper did NOT for sure) I see Jodie and most everyone's top of their heads. Goldie's friend close up so her babies nose looks huge! Loreen holding one of the Paris' but they called her Goldie and they called Paris Brett and Goldie (they called Lauri Lewis holding Brett who they called pooch! They got Anna Vicarys name spelt wrong but I am sorry to say they spelt mine right (embarrassed) This really isn't so bad since the pictures happened by accident as our photgrapher' s pictures never made it into the newspaper office. The spread was a whole page and it was on the PEOPLE page. Pictures are from top to bottm Main caption reads: Parades come in all sizes: Dec 8 (and it was the 9th wasn't it?) was the First Yorkie RUn organized by Pattie Jaworski who also hosted a party for the two dozen tiny dogs. (How dare them call our babies dogs!) She is a geriatric home care nurse and works with the seniors at Hubbard Manor West, Sisson Manor and private homes. She told Seniors in the two buildings when the dogs (again!!! Babies not dogs) would pass by and the group walked up Mason and across Beech so residents could peer out from their balconies to see the animals. SOme came down to meet them and get licks from the holiday bedecked canines. One caption reads: The parade of Yorkies and owners march up Mason Street waving at passers-by. This is Patti's picture! Caption with Goldie & her friend reads: The tiny dogs scamper around and shiver in the cold when they are not snuggled close to their owners. Captions with Loreen (claiming to be Godlie & Breet reads) Goldie Kay and "Brett" snuggle with hair blowing in the wind near the end of their visit to the senior citizen towers. Patti's arm by the window of Hubbard Manor West reads: A Hubbard resident greets a hairy Yorkie through the window of her building. Showing 2 residents, Goldie, Breet, Chloe and myself states: Hubbard Manor West resident Anna Vicary (the senior who came & fed all our babies chicken) gets pleasure from petting Pattie Jaworski's "Chloe" and Virginia Rogowski gets a lick from Lauri Lewis's pooch as they happen on the crowd. (AND YES they put the "S" after the "S" in Lewis!) Photos by Millard Berry which happened to be the free lance photographer that just happened to see us parading down Monroe. I asked everyone to send in their names and correct spelling, just to let you know no one replied but even if you would have, the paper never gave me the opportunity to give it cause we thought it would not be published cause we had no pictures sent in.... Sorry on behalf of the paper for the mispelling especially to Loreen and Goldie and Brett and Paris. |
