OK, guys,.... sorry I started this thread and forgot to check it duh!!!! How about the 2nd Saturday in October. I dont have a calendar in front of me right now so I'm not sure on the exact day. Do you still want to have it at Eagle creek park. If so we need to decide on date so I can reserve the place. We will have a costume party for the yorkies too. |
That would be OCT 14th. Eagle Creek Park is fine with me if everyone else is ok with it. I think it was a perfect place to hold this sort of meet up. I agree we should have the lot next to the play ground. I think this should be posted in off topic or gen talk, not to many people really come here, so we would get more responce if we posted it else where. |
HI EVERYONE!!! How did I miss this thread? Can Hailee and I come to the meet-up too. Hailee has been wanting to visit with her sisters.;) Keep me posted, we'll be there. |

hey guys, this kinda got pushed aside, are we still planning this, we need to set an off date so we can mark it down!!!!!!!! |
Bump:p |
Ok guys, I've been a slacker..... I just called and got shelter for Oct. 14th is this ok with everyone. I was able to get the shelter by the playground which we all liked better. I"ll post more info later tonight. |
Ok so the date is set for Oct 14th. at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. from 11:00 - whenever. I thought this time instead of having a cook out, which kept the guys busy cooking, we would have a carry in with snack foods, finger sandwiches, veggies trays, fruit trays, different salads, desserts, chips, etc. How does that sound. We need to start a list of what you want to bring so please list it. We will have a meet and greet time, then eat, then have a yorkie costume party and yorkie gift exchange. We had a lot of fun with the gift exchange last time. The gift exchange is a $20.00 gift. This time we thought it would be a good idea to not have any treats in the exchange. Last time someone got a bag of treats only and there yorkie couldnt use them. Since all our babies are picky and can only eat certain things,. I think bulley sticks are ok with all so those would be ok. We had everything from outfits, to beds, to toys, to all kinds of fun stuff for them. You do not have to participate in the exchange if you do not want to. If you have more than one yorkie you can enter all of them or just one. Please list if you are coming, how many adults, and kids, and yorkies you are bringing, if you want to be in the exchange, and what food. You are responsible for all your drinks. We will provide plates, napkins, and silverware. There was a shelter rental of 90.00 which I have paid. There will be a $7.00 per family charge to help pay for shelter and paper goods. and I think if I remember right. it cost $4.00 per car load to get into the park. We had a lot of fun in May and I know we will have a great time in October. If you have any questions, email me at Denise517@comcast.net |
Ok here is goes. I'm coming with hubby, 2 kids, and 1 yorkie. I will participate in the gift exchange and I will bring ham salad finger sandwiches, fruit plate, and cookies Also give me your full name and email address too. Cant wait to see all of you!!!! |
Here is the website to pull the map off of. www.indybarkpark.org go to the top of the page, hit parks, then scroll down to Eagle Creek and click on it. Scroll down to the bottom of the page in Aqua Green Writing and hit Eagle Creek Park North map. Come in off 56th street. We are Mt Pleasant Shelter 8M Right by a playground and restrooms. You also may want to bring your own lawn chairs, xpens, etc. The xpens are a great idea. So anyone who has them, I'd bring them. I'll bring a volleyball net for the kids. If anyone else has any other ideas feel free to say. Thanks |
Hi Denise! I cleaned out my box, sorry about that. I will be there. What time are we talking about? I work until 2pm but I will be right there at Butler University. I'm so excited to see your baby and Lillie! |
I said to start at 11:00 but I think 12:00 will be better to allow for people driving. like 12:00 - 4:00 or so. |
YAY!! finally got it booked! I'm excited! Denise, have you ever heard of a white elephant auction? We do this every year for are family reunion to help cover the cost of the next years family reunion, and how it works, is everyone brings a wrapped gift and we auction off the gifts, I know when we do this we usually make over $400, not saying we will make that much here, depends on how many people show up and all. It's just a idea to help cover cost of next year. |
Ok, everyone... We need some responses....Please Please come. LOL Missy if you want to do that, feel free. I'll let you be in charge of that. |
